Master Tec awarded RM10.68 mil electrical infrastructure sub-contract

Master Tec Group Berhad (“Master Tec” or the “Group”) announced that its 51% owned-subsidiary, Sediacom Sdn. Bhd. (“Sediacom”), has accepted a RM10.68 million Letter of Award from a contractor for sub-contract works related to electrical infrastructure.

The works will start in October 2025 and conclude by June 2026, enhancing Sediacom’s role in Malaysia’s utility sector. The identity of Company A is confidential; it supplies electrical accessories and contract services nationwide.

Mr. Tee Kok Hwa, Chief Executive Officer of Master Tec Group commented, “We are pleased with this latest win, which not only reflects our strong reputation in delivering high-quality utility and infrastructure services but also highlights the strategic value of our subsidiary, Sediacom. This project will add meaningful revenue visibility over the next two quarters and aligns well with our long-term ambition to expand our footprint in the power infrastructure and grid support segments.”

With this new award, the Group’s total orders have grown to about RM118.28 million from its manufacturing and trading units under Master Tec Wires & Cables Sdn. Bhd. (“MTWC”), and RM29.57 million from its infrastructure and utility services under Sediacom. This strong amount of work highlights the Group’s ongoing success in winning important contracts in its main business areas, boosted by high demand for power cables made from copper and aluminum, control cables, and subcontract work in infrastructure and utilities. This further strengthens the Group’s expanding role in cable manufacturing and infrastructure.

The Group is also looking for strategic partnerships and contract chances throughout Peninsular and East Malaysia, alongside Malaysia’s infrastructure growth under the 13th Malaysia Plan (“13MP”) and the supported initiative of the National Energy Transition Roadmap (“NETR”) as part of Budget 2026. This includes a recent Memorandum of Understanding (“MoU”) with Yangtze (Jiangsu) Marine Technology Company Limited and Senari Synergy Sdn. Bhd. to look into working together on high-quality cables and expanding manufacturing in the region.
