
Team Malaysia excelled at the Asia Pacific Motorsport Championship 2025 in Sri Lanka, earning two podium finishes in the E-Sports Cup.

Naquib Azlan, 24, defended his Gold medal in Assetto Corsa, marking his second consecutive title. His brother, Nabil Azlan, 23, secured Silver in the iRacing category, enhancing his international reputation after reaching the world semifinals of the FIA Motorsport Games.
Taj Izrin Aiman, 26, advanced to the iRacing finals and finished 5th, while Leona Chin, 39, known as “Drift Queen,” reached the semifinals in Assetto Corsa. The team was managed by Alex Yoong, Malaysia’s first Formula One driver.


The Malaysian esports team’s achievements were supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Motorsports Association of Malaysia (MAM). Other accomplishments included medals in karting and autocross, with Zarief Rayqal winning Bronze in Senior Karting Sprint and Sophia Zara earning Silver in Junior Karting Slalom.
The championship, held from 26 to 28 September 2025, featured over 200 drivers from 25 countries, focusing on youth development and inclusivity in motorsport.
