The Malaysia Auto Xpo (MAX) 2026 has officially announced by the organisers that it will open on 7-8 November at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park in Serdang (MAEPS).
Conceptualized and organized by Alaf Sentosa Sdn Bhd and Element X Strategies – the team behind Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur from 2023-2025 – the event is backed by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia.
MAX 2026 will bring together four main parts: the Xpo event, the International Auto Modified show (IAM), Tempatan Fest, and Driftnutz.
IAM has been taking place in Malaysia since 2011 and is now held in many cities across Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, and the United States. Tempatan Fest is a major annual Malaysian cultural festival that celebrates local streetwear styles, vintage items, creative businesses, visual arts, and independent music. It started in 2015. Driftnutz has become known for hosting exciting drift events in Malaysia, attracting both local and international drifters.
“MAX 2026 is envisioned to bring together the many diverse components of car culture, motorsports and lifestyle under one huge show. We want this to not only become a powerful platform to give the business side of the industry a huge boost, but use its influence to champion a more responsible and safer automotive culture nationwide,” said Alaf Sentosa Sdn Bhd Chief Executive Officer Jason Yap.
“MAX 2026 is a celebration of everything automotive and much more – from modified cars, tuners and custom car builders to motorsports elements, classic cars and the trading/selling of motor vehicles. This event gathers industry players, car enthusiasts and the community to experience an exciting automotive experience. This year’s show will serve as an introduction to a bigger and more iconic show next year and for years to come. It is also about giving back to the community, enthusiasts and the public.”
MAX 2026 will feature a wide variety of customized cars from both local and international tuners. There will be an auto styling competition, exclusive car reveals, a section for diecast hunters and collectors, a sim racing competition, a car auction, auto trading, and car club gatherings.
Additionally, there will be a dyno challenge to find the most powerful car in Malaysia, drifting experiences, and taxi rides. The event will include a fashion show for automotive race queens showcasing Malaysian designers and local fashion brands, a Miss Auto Culture Malaysia pageant, batik car wrapping to celebrate Malaysian heritage, live stage performances, and a big food festival.
A major highlight will be the launch of an Exclusive Car Tour to Japan, which is a 9,000 km journey over 35 days from Kuala Lumpur to Tokyo. This tour will pass through Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, China, and South Korea, ending at the Liberty Walk headquarters in Tokyo. It will be led by a special car (to be revealed as a surprise during MAX 2026) and driven by MAX 2026 Ambassador Vera T., a well-known motorsport lifestyle creator and racing driver. There are also more surprises to come, but we’ll keep those a secret for now.
Presale tickets cost RM25 for a one-day pass, RM45 for two, and RM80 for four. Children under 10 can enter for free. Regular tickets will be RM35 for a single one-day pass from 7-8 November 2026.
