LG Electronics (LG) has set its sight in the commercial laundry market with the launch of its new LG Professional Laundry series. This new lineup is designed for various commercial sectors, including retail, industry, hospitality, and healthcare. LG Professional Laundry will first be available in Europe, followed by Asia and North America.

The LG Professional Laundry series aims to improve efficiency in commercial use by offering large washers and dryers that can handle heavy workloads. The LG Professional WasherDryer can wash and dry a full load in about one hour, thanks to its AI Weight Detection feature that optimizes water and energy usage based on the load size. Its energy-saving Dual Inverter HeatPump design allows for efficient, low-temperature drying. The ductless solution also minimizes the need for ductwork installation and maintenance.

This series includes advanced technologies to enhance performance. LG’s Dynamic Ball-Core System detects drum imbalances with a built-in gyro sensor, which helps stabilize loads and reduce vibrations. With spin speeds of up to 1,100 RPM, it also improves water extraction, decreasing drying time, energy use, and noise.

The dryers in the lineup, including the WasherDryer, feature Sensor Dry technology that prevents over-drying by adjusting the drying time based on moisture levels. Wet Cleaning with MotionCare provides gentle care for delicate fabrics during washing and drying, using low-temperature drying cycles to avoid fabric damage.
LG Professional Laundry appliances are built for durability and easy maintenance. The Front Service Ready design allows quick access to important parts, making repairs simpler and faster. Features like Heat Exchanger Cleaning Assist automatically clean the heat exchanger, while the Tub Clean cycle removes bacteria from the washer drum, maintaining cleanliness. Users can easily select and change cycles with the ProGuide Control, a seven-inch LCD touch display.
To help with daily tasks, the LaundryCrew app allows users to monitor machine status, access operational data, and adjust settings remotely. It also supports software updates and system management, enabling better oversight of laundry operations. Additionally, LG offers an Open API for integration with current business systems, allowing customization and expansion of operational capabilities.
LG is establishing a strong presence in the commercial laundry sector through ongoing B2B partnerships. In North America, it has provided advanced laundry solutions to major service providers, while in Asia, it continues to grow with local business models, such as the Laundry Crew franchise in Thailand. The new Professional Laundry series is a significant step in LG’s strategy to offer integrated and scalable solutions for B2B customers in key global markets.
“The LG Professional Laundry lineup is designed to enhance the efficiency and cost effectiveness of commercial laundry operations,” said Baek Seung-tae, president of the LG Home Appliance Solution Company. “By combining our AI-powered washing and drying technologies with our advanced core tech and comprehensive support services, we are providing our B2B partners with solutions that support business growth.”
