If you’re on the hunt for a laptop to cover productivity, creative, entertainment, or perhaps gaming, then you probably want to shortlist the Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 Aura Edition (Gen 11), imagined with Intel. It has the aesthetics, performance, and functionality to make it ideal for anyone who don’t wants any compromise for a 2-in-1 laptop.
The Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 Aura Edition (Gen 11), imagined with Intel can deliver high performance, made possible by the latest Intel Core Ultra processors.
Sample review specs

Let’s start off with the sample loan review unit specs. Powered by the Intel Core Ultra 7 355 processor, it is paired with 24GB RAM and 1TB SSD. A solid specification for those who loves multitasking and for applications that requires a lot of resources.
Performance
With the pairing specification as per above mentioned, you’re going to be able to handle any work without worrying it any occurrence of lag. Whether you’re running a huge excel table to drawing your new masterpiece, it ran so well that you thought you would require a huge desktop to achieved it. Lenovo and Intel push the boundaries of your creativity, safely boost your productivity with a dedicated AI engine.
However, if you’re planning to use it for gaming, yeah you can actually game on the laptop, albeit don’t anticipate to run at max settings for modern AAA game titles. I have tried Fortnite in a custom Performance mode settings, it ran steadily around 60 fps.
I would also like to stress that because the laptop has a slim design, I noticed when running PC games, the chassis would heat up especially on the keyboard area. So, if you’re planning to play games, get a laptop cooler or play in an air-conditioned room.
Design and Ports

The Seashell colour features a vegan leather top lid, exuding premium feel along with its aluminum chassis. Lenovo stated that the laptop has a starting weight at 1.38kg, which is still fairly light as it snugged into your bag to bring it anywhere. The hinge is incredible solid as the laptop can be operated in Laptop, Tablet, Tent, Display, and the all-new Canvas Mode while offering the ease of opening the top lid with one hand.
The ports selection is fantastic as well as it comes with:
Left:
1 x USB-C (Thunderbolt 4, USB 40Gbps)
1 x HDMI 2.1 TMDS, up to 4K @ 60Hz
1 x Audio Combo Jack
Right:
1 x USB-C (Thunderbolt 4, USB 40Gbps)
1 x USB-A (USB 5Gbps), Always On
1 x SD card reader
Keyboard and trackpad

Both the keyboard and trackpad offers good typing and navigation experience. The keyboard feels natural to type whether you’re using on a table or on your lap, thanks to the 1.5mm key travel and a 0.03mm dish cap. The trackpad glides accurately and offers precise click. All this contributes for better, longer work session without feeling uneasiness.
Display and Audio

My sample loan review unit is using the base 14″ WUXGA (1920×1200) OLED touchscreen, however, you can spec it up to 14″ 2.8K (2880×1800) OLED touchscreen with 120Hz refresh rate. Nonetheless, the base display is quite good for your everyday usage as it delivers a max of 400 nits peak brightness with HDR 500 True Black. It’s quite perfect if you love watching streaming content on a laptop.
In the audio department, the laptop has 4 x 2W speakers certified for Dolby Atmos, which is surprisingly deliver good audio especially for content consumption. With the adequate bass, good clarity and loud volume, you will get immersed when viewing your favourite show or enjoying the trending music.
Battery
Equipped with a 70WHr battery, the Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 Aura Edition (Gen 11) is fantastic for those who wants longer productivity period. My experience watching YouTube videos with max brightness and speaker volume at 60% for 40 minutes, it took up 17% from a fully charged battery. The result is impressive, but depending on your usage, it may consume more battery life especially for gaming.
There is also Rapid Charge Express, where 15 minutes of charging will allow up to 3 hours of battery life.
Stylus

If you’re a fan of stylus on laptops, I highly recommend you to get the optional Yoga Pen Gen 2, which includes the magnetic case. The magnetic case also has another usage apart from storing the stylus on the top lid, it allows the laptop to into Canvas mode where creative users can get the display into the perfect angle to unleash their creativity.

Final Verdict, recommendation and ratings
Overall, the Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 Aura Edition (Gen 11) will meet the need of users who requires a powerful 2-in-1 laptop for their work, studies, creative and even content consumption. A solid device, however, if you’re planning to play games then I suggest only light gaming titles or set it to low-mid settings. I would recommend getting the optional Yoga Pen Gen 2, if you’re into the stylus for work and creativity
While you can also configure the laptop with the Intel Core Ultra 5 processors, you need to take note that you will be limited to 16GB RAM (soldered) configuration only as the Intel Core Ultra 7 processor variant allows to increase the RAM space up to 32GB (soldered). All variants can equipped with up to 2TB SSD storage. For the casual, the Intel Core Ultra 5 processor variants is good enough as the Intel Core Ultra 7 processor variant is more catered for those who requires the extra performance especially AI, work and video editing usage.
For ratings, I will give it a solid 8 out of 10 (Intel Core Ultra 7 355 processor, 24GB RAM and 1TB SSD). It’s a great device for the modern student, young working adults and aspiring creators. With the strong performance, great build quality and features, you can get immerse with your work, creativity, entertainment and perhaps, some light gaming as well.
