KJTS Group Berhad (“KJTS”) announces a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Shenzhen Envicool Technology Co., Ltd. to collaborate on energy-efficient cooling solutions for data centres in ASEAN. Through its subsidiary Green AI Sdn. Bhd., KJTS aims to leverage its expertise in Build-Operate-Transfer and Retrofit-Operate-Transfer models for the engineering and operation of cooling plants.

Envicool is a leader in temperature control solutions, with over 4 million cooling systems delivered globally. Under the MoU, both companies will jointly provide cooling infrastructure solutions, with Green AI as the project leader and asset owner, and Envicool supplying advanced technologies and support. The partnership focuses on performance-based models ensuring energy savings measured in USD per ton of Refrigeration per hour (USD/RTh).

The management of KJTS commented, “This collaboration with Envicool represents a major step forward in KJTS’s and its subsidiaries’ (“KJTS Group”) regional strategy to deliver intelligent, low-carbon cooling solutions that meet the growing demands of the data centre industry. By leveraging our project delivery capabilities and Envicool’s global presence and track record as the leading data centre cooling provider in China to enhance the market positioning of the partnership, we are confident in our ability to create long-term value for clients while contributing to broader environmental goals.”

The management of Envicool commented, “We are delighted to collaborate with Green AI and KJTS Group to accelerate the deployment of intelligent and sustainable cooling infrastructure across ASEAN. As global demand for high-performance data centres grows, our partnership enables us to combine world-class technology with local execution expertise to deliver solutions that are not only energy-efficient but also aligned with long-term climate goals.”

This partnership paves the way for a transformative approach to data centre infrastructure in Southeast Asia, where demand for scalable, sustainable cooling solutions is rapidly increasing. By aligning technological innovation with performance-driven project delivery, KJTS and Envicool aim to be key enablers in the region’s digital and energy transition, reinforcing their commitment to operational excellence and carbon reduction in next-generation mission-critical facilities.
