Johnny Orlando has returned to released his latest uptempo banger track “Daydream” which is out now via Universal Music Canada and Island Records. The music video will be releasing on 17th August at 12AM (GMT+8).
Orlando mentioned that “Daydream” has “an ever so slightly 80s vibe with a 2021 edge and feel” and featured the pop-star’s signature effortless and charming vocals paired alongside an upbeat and infectious production. It was also well noted that with this latest track and “I Don’t (with DVBBS)” released in March 2021, it will mark the beginning of a steady release of music from Orlando through the rest of 2021 as he builds toward a new project coming in 2022.

“‘Daydream is an uptempo banger that produces that care-free, summer essence when you listen to it. The song doesn’t take itself too seriously, which is what we were going for when we recorded it,” said Orlando. “My goal with this track was to make a good song and have a good time while doing it. I just want to be able to make whatever type of music I’m feeling. I love all genres, and I also love the flexibility of doing whatever moves me musically.”
In celebration of the release, Orlando will be leading a #DAYDREAMSOCIALTOUR where he will go live across his various social platforms to discuss “Daydream”, answer fan questions, and chat with special guests on the 16th August (MYT/GMT+8).
