JETOUR Dashing officially debuts in Malaysia; starts from RM109,800

JETOUR has officially debut in Malaysia with launched of its JETOUR Dashing at Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC). The brand’s first SUV features a stylish design and attractive appearance, positioning JETOUR as a new player in Malaysia’s car market.

Mr Ke Chuandeng, Vice President of JETOUR Auto emphasised the importance of modern-day vehicles incorporating technologically advanced features as a proactive way to progress the local automotive landscape.

“The introduction of Dashing represents not just JETOUR’s entry into Malaysia’s SUV segment, but a redefinition of what consumers should expect in this competitive market,” said Mr Ke. 

“Malaysian drivers have long sought a vehicle that delivers exceptional value without compromising on quality, technology, or design – and Dashing fulfills that precise market need. We’ve created a premium SUV that stands out in a crowded landscape by delivering what matters most to discerning Malaysian consumers.”

The 5-seater Dashing features a bold 3D coupe fastback design with dimensions of 4,590 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,685 mm in height, blending an elegant silhouette with SUV versatility. Distinctive elements include intelligent sensing handles that extend automatically with the smart key, enhancing technology and reducing wind noise. Matrix LED headlights provide advanced illumination, activating before tunnel entrances, with adjustable height levels and ‘follow-me-home’ functionality. The daytime running lights feature a unique ‘Mecha-Eyes’ design, while the rear lights have a checkered flag design that highlights the vehicle’s sporty character.

The Dashing features 19-inch wheel hubs for better grip and stability, ensuring confident handling on different terrains. Its large 75-inch panoramic sunroof provides an open and spacious cabin that lets passengers enjoy their surroundings while ensuring privacy and comfort in the SUV.

The Dashing has two stylish interior color combination – off-white and black and red – providing a smart and simple space. The cabin design removes the center rear seat hump for added comfort for all passengers, including those in the middle seat. The trunk is spacious enough for large items, like tents and BBQ tools, perfect for outdoor adventures.

JETOUR has provided Dashing with voice command technology for easy control of windows, air conditioning, navigation, and music. It also features a CN95 air filtration system for clean cabin air, customizable ambient lighting in higher trims, and rear air vents for even climate control.

The electric tailgate lets you set the height you want using the central screen, making it easy to adjust to your preference. It also has anti-pinch protection for added safety. There is also Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, allowing you to to connect your smartphone with convenance.

The safety features include blind spot detection that works at speeds over 15 km/h, lane change warnings that alert you with sounds and visuals when there’s a possible collision, rear cross traffic alert to help when backing up, and a door open warning that warns you of oncoming cars when getting out of the SUV.

Powering the Dashing is a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine that produces 156 PS (115 kW) and 230 Nm of torque, plentiful for quick acceleration and strong performance on the highway.

The JETOUR Dashing will be available in two trim levels for the Malaysia market, starting from RM109,800 nett for the Comfort trim level and RM116,800 nett for the Prime trim level. You can get it in five exterior colours: Carbon Black, Khaki White, Aurora Green, Phantom Grey, and Hematite Red.

To support the launch of Dashing, JETOUR is expanding its network with over 15 sales and service outlets already in Malaysia and plans to open 30 new 4S and 3S centres by 2025. This growth ensures JETOUR’s presence in key areas across Peninsular and East Malaysia, such as Selangor, Penang, Ipoh, Seremban, Melaka, Johor, Sabah, and Sarawak, making it easier for customers to access sales and services. The company has also established a nationwide spare parts inventory, showing its commitment to the Malaysian market and providing effective after-sales support.

As a key highlight of the launch, Mr. Ke Chuandeng and Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Vincent Tan Chee Yioun, Founder and Advisor of Berjaya Corporation Bhd, officiated the agreement between Berjaya Assembly Sdn Bhd and JETOUR Malaysia Sdn Bhd. This is an important step in their partnership on Completely Knocked Down (CKD) projects and introducing JETOUR’s vehicles to Malaysia. The partnership follows Intelligent Manufacturing principles of INDUSTRY 4.0, using advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, and robotics to improve productivity and efficiency. Through this alliance, JETOUR plans to increase its investment in Malaysia and focus on local efforts, strengthening its position in the automotive market.

The JETOUR Dashing will be available at all authorised JETOUR showrooms nationwide beginning April 2025.
