Huawei Malaysia has debuted the HUAWEI WATCH 6 Series alongside the HUAWEI FreeBuds SE 5 Max for the local market. The HUAWEI WATCH 6 Series is a Next-Gen Health Intelligence Smartwatch that focuses on premium craftsmanship and advanced health monitoring, offering smart connectivity and everyday interactions, in contrast to the HUAWEI WATCH GT 7 Series, which prioritizes sports performance and battery life.
Premium Craftsmanship Meets Intelligent Aesthetics
Available in the HUAWEI WATCH 6 and HUAWEI WATCH 6 Pro, the latest generation places greater emphasis on premium materials, comfort and everyday wearability.
The HUAWEI WATCH 6 Pro elevates the experience with premium materials including titanium alloy and nano-tech ceramic, while the HUAWEI WATCH 6 features a lighter design complemented by Huawei’s EasyCross strap for a more comfortable fit. Across the series, spherical sapphire glass enhances durability and clarity, with display brightness reaching up to 3,500 nits on the Pro models.
Smarter and More Proactive Health Intelligence
Health is a key focus of the HUAWEI WATCH 6 Series. It features an improved X-TAP with a 20-level touch sensor and a 12-channel PPG sensor for better health tracking.
The HUAWEI WATCH 6 Series is introduced at a time when awareness of high blood pressure is particularly important in Malaysia. According to the National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS) 2023, 29.2% of Malaysian adults, which is nearly one in three, have high blood pressure, but 40.7% of these adults do not know they have it. Alarmingly, the highest number of people unaware of their condition are aged 18 to 39, indicating a knowledge gap among younger Malaysians.
To help fill this gap, the HUAWEI Watch 6 Series offers both a Hypertension Risk Study and a Diabetes Risk Study, making it the first smartwatch in Malaysia to provide these health risk studies. Huawei Malaysia is working with Sunway University on the Hypertension Risk Study to test its wearable devices for screening high blood pressure in real-life situations. The study is being led by Prof. Emeritus Datin Dr. Chia Yook Chin and Dr. Say Yee How.
By allowing users to monitor their health throughout the day, the series encourages them to notice changes and understand when they might need to see a doctor.
With X-TAP, the upgraded Health Glance allows users to get a detailed health overview in just 60 seconds with one tap. It covers 13 health metrics related to basic health, heart health, hormone health, and lung health. It also includes features like Morning Briefing, Physical Readiness Score, and Health Analysis to help users better understand their daily wellness.
Greater Independence Beyond the Smartphone
The HUAWEI WATCH 6 Series offers eSIM connectivity for making and receiving calls directly from the watch, even without a smartphone nearby. It supports Dual-Phone Connection, enabling seamless connectivity across two smartphones.
The smartwatch provides independent navigation with Petal Maps, along with music and audiobook support, while enhanced safety features offer reassurance during daily activities and outdoor adventures.

The 42 mm models can last up to seven days on one charge, while the 46 mm models can last up to 11 days, giving users more options for how often to recharge.
HUAWEI FreeBuds SE 5 Max Brings More Power to Everyday Listening
Joining the HUAWEI WATCH 6 Series is the new HUAWEI FreeBuds SE 5 Max, priced at RM159. These earbuds provide up to 14 days of battery life, with 80 hours of total playback when using the charging case and 10 hours on a single charge.
Featuring up to 52dB Adaptive ANC and a six-microphone system, they enhance call clarity in various environments. The earbuds support Bluetooth 6.0 and Dual-Device connectivity for seamless pairing across devices. Hi-Res Audio certification with LDAC support ensures rich sound quality.
