HUAWEI unveils FinAgent Booster with Global Showcases in Banking, Insurance, and Securities

During HUAWEI CONNECT 2025, HUAWEI hosted a summit titled “Beyond Digital, Resilience Empowers AI-infused Finance,” focusing on the financial sector. At this event, they introduced FinAgent Booster (FAB) and showcased innovations in banking, insurance, and securities, aiming to enhance the commercial use of AI in core scenarios.

Jason Cao, CEO of Huawei Digital Finance BU, Delivering a Keynote Speech

Jason Cao, CEO of Huawei Digital Finance BU, emphasized that AI is transforming the financial industry by innovating service, collaboration, and decision-making. Huawei’s open ecosystem strategy promotes AI-driven transformation through three initiatives: enhancing intelligence across domains, accelerating knowledge from data, and fostering resilience for intelligent computing. The upgraded Data Intelligence solution and FinAgent Booster (FAB) aim to streamline agent application engineering, enabling flexible assembly and efficient commercial applications of AI agents.

Three Key Initiatives to Support AI-powered Transformation

To assist financial institutions in implementing agents more efficiently, Huawei has developed AI solutions, practices, partnerships, and engineering expertise. Based on this, Huawei has upgraded its Financial Data Intelligence Solution 5.5 focused on agents and introduced the FinAgent Booster (FAB) to simplify AI implementation for customers and partners. FAB features three key highlights:

  • Easy to use: Based on the best practices of financial AI agent implementation, Huawei has created more than 50 types of innovative scenario workflows and demos to help financial institutions quickly realize their innovative business visions.
  • Ready to use: Working with partners, Huawei has accumulated over 150 financial MCPs, along with its extensive business domain knowledge, to help financial institutions flexibly assemble internal and external MCPs, and to build agent applications more efficiently.
  • Smooth to use: The next-generation intelligent computing is combined with the ModelArts Versatile agent platform to refine agent engineering processes and cope with complex engineering issues. For example, this has achieved more than 90% accuracy of intent recognition and millisecond-level latency of AI-powered customer-facing service.

At this summit, Huawei launched a brand-new knowledge lakehouse solution to:

  • Accelerate large-scale graph computing and multi-modal knowledge analysis.
  • Carry out knowledge governance, extraction, and ontology modeling in one-stop mode on the DataArts Studio platform.
  • Continuously enrich knowledge application innovation with partners.

The leap from data to knowledge allows AI to better understand financial services.

In addition, Huawei released four security solutions for the financial industry:

  1. Zero-Trust Campus Network with real-time dynamic authentication;
  2. Quantum Secure WAN to achieve quantum computing-resistant decryption;
  3. AI Training and Inference Protection to prevent inference LLM poisoning;
  4. Data Security Black Box to protect against extreme cyber attacks.

These solutions were created to support the upgrade of financial security capabilities during the era of AI.

Three Global Showcases in Banking, Insurance, and Securities for Industry Intelligence Reference

Huawei, in collaboration with BOCOM, China Pacific Insurance (CPIC), and Guotai Haitong Securities, has introduced three showcases aimed at enhancing communication and learning in the financial industry while establishing new benchmarks in the AI era.

The partnership between BOCOM and Huawei focuses on advancing AI development, exploring innovative application models, and nurturing talent within the financial sector, as demonstrated at the Joint Innovation Exhibition Center.

The CPIC Technology Digital Exhibition Hall & CPIC AI Data Center features Huawei’s comprehensive training and inference platform specifically for insurance, integrating compute, network, storage, and cloud services to support over 20 AI applications, offering cutting-edge insights for the insurance industry.

Additionally, Huawei and Guotai Haitong Securities have launched a full-stack distributed core securities system that successfully navigated market challenges in 2024, providing a replicable model for digital transformation in the securities sector.

To date, Huawei has partnered with over 11,000 entities in the financial sector, reaching 5,600 customers across more than 80 countries, including 53 of the world’s top 100 banks.
