Foundryx inks MoU with Coohom and HOMAG for Malaysia’s first end-to-end digital ecosystem for home and living industry

Foundryx Malaysia, Coohom from China, and HOMAG from Germany have signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create Malaysia’s first integrated digital ecosystem. This ecosystem aims to streamline design, sales, manufacturing, and installation processes into one seamless workflow, addressing inefficiencies caused by fragmented systems and manual coordination in the home and living industry.

Foundryx’s EcoHub SaaS platform serves as the digital backbone, merging Coohom’s AI-driven 3D design and HOMAG’s advanced manufacturing integration. This alliance aims to streamline the customer journey—from initial engagement to after-sales support—in a unified digital space.

Malaysia’s cabinet industry, valued at tens of billions annually, faces challenges due to fragmented manual workflows that lead to inefficiencies and increased costs. The Foundryx EcoHub platform supports various stakeholders, offering faster turnaround times, improved coordination, and reduced waste, thereby enhancing overall efficiency.

“For many SMEs in the home and living sector, digital transformation is often seen as expensive and fragmented. Foundryx EcoHub simplifies this by bringing design, workflow, manufacturing, and support into one connected ecosystem,” said Mr Kay Choon Yip, Founder and CEO of Foundryx Malaysia.

“Built with a UX-first approach and integrated AI, the platform helps businesses onboard faster, operate efficiently, and scale confidently. It incorporates industry-first AI-powered analytics to seamlessly integrate AI into everyday business processes”.

“By mid-July 2026, the Foundryx EcoHub SaaS model will officially open for industry-wide subscription. Designers, renovators, contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers will finally experience faster turnarounds, improved coordination, reduced wastage, and greater efficiency. Our goal is to make advanced digital capabilities accessible to the wider industry, not just large enterprises,” he added.

The MoU marked the launch of MODURA, Dee Noon Corporation’s new cabinetry and lifestyle brand, an early adopter of the Foundryx EcoHub ecosystem.

This launch occurs amid significant changes in Malaysia’s renovation market, with rising consumer demands for faster delivery, personalized designs, and transparency, alongside pressures for digitization and sustainability.

Foundryx EcoHub allows homeowners to transition smoothly from design and quotation to manufacturing and installation.

“Coohom’s technology enables designers, retailers and customers to visualise spaces with greater speed and clarity. Our cloud-based AI design platform allows high-quality 3D renders and design proposals to be generated quickly, helping customers make more confident decisions while allowing businesses to shorten the sales and design approval cycle,” said Ms Ivy Wang Xiaodi, Country Manager of Coohom.

Meanwhile, HOMAG connects approved designs with manufacturing. With AI automation, it reduces errors and optimizes material use before production starts, greatly improving efficiency and lowering waste.

“Through our manufacturing integration capabilities, design data can be translated into production-ready manufacturing data – reducing manual redraws, improving accuracy, and supporting more efficient machine utilisation and material usage on the factory floor,” said Mr Lorenz Mannl, Digital Director of HOMAG.

Foundryx Malaysia is onboarding early adopters, especially from SME interior design firms, contractors, and supplier brands, with plans to expand into Southeast Asian markets like Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia. The initiative integrates AI-driven design, cloud collaboration, and automated manufacturing to transform the design and delivery of living spaces, aiming for a more efficient and sustainable home and living industry in Malaysia.
