Fashion Watch: Christian Louboutin and Jaden Smith unveils Men’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection

Maison Christian Louboutin and Men’s Creative Director Jaden Smith have unveiled the Men’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection through an immersive exhibition that bridges fashion, art, music, and history. This exhibition honors the legacy of Christian Louboutin Men while offering a vision of its future.

Through photography and cinema, central to Jaden Smith’s creative language from France, the exhibition recalls 19th-century experiments where light and movement shaped identity. Through an intergenerational lens, the collection invites visitors into an intimate encounter with Jaden Smith’s vision.

‘This collection is inspired by the history of working men throughout the centuries, The Stone Masons, The Scribes, The Doctors. It’s Inspired By The Lost Epochs Of Time & Made By Hands Born From Stars Forged Under Immense Pressure Deep In Cosmic Space.’

The journey begins in the Projection Room, a place for reflection where the Maison’s signature red becomes a bright focus. Inspired by early photographers like Niépce, Daguerre, and the Lumière brothers, Jaden thinks about the beginnings of cinema, when light and movement were first recorded. Shoes from the Men’s FW26 collection walk across the screens alongside art and fabrics, framed by the shadowy outline of a medieval castle, creating a new world for Christian Louboutin Men.

The exhibition then leads into the collection itself, where each piece reflects Jaden’s imagination and culture. It starts with the Trapman corner, a key style reinterpreted through the lens of 1990s hip-hop, a time that influenced his world and shaped a global language in music and fashion. “Hip Hop Culture Is At The Center Of My Design Philosophy, while Creating The Formal Attire For The Men Of The Future.” The Corteo is also featured, marking the Maison’s history. First released in Fall/Winter 2019, this shoe symbolizes elegance and presence.

For Jaden Smith, it represents the ideal classic style, embodying “the businessman, the working man, people who wear a suit, who show up with intention, who build something through discipline and effort.” The Loafers Display showcases three styles of the classic Penny loafer, including a sling back and sandal versions. With the TCT I Display, standing for Tactical, Jaden promotes technical innovation, envisioning the collection’s most practical piece as a shoe that functions like a tactical waterproof jacket.

Extending beyond just the collection displays, the exhibition reflects on images and history. A 360° video installation featuring old television screens shows clips from different times that have influenced human history. These clips range from significant events to everyday moments, showing how images shape our shared memories over time. This theme continues with certain styles shown on antique columns, inspired by the story of the Virgin Weeping over a Broken Column, representing the knowledge and skills passed down through generations.

An intimate symbol arises with the Angel sculpture, from Christian Louboutin’s personal collection and featured in the first photoshoot with Jaden, capturing their close bond: a guardian angel of their relationship, built on mutual respect, admiration, and joy in creating together. Next, a photo installation showcases Jaden Smith’s works, with some images created using old photography techniques: each image is made under a cloth and developed by hand, using silver and chemicals to reveal the shapes. Some photographs are printed as red-illuminated negatives, reflecting the brand’s signature style. The exhibition includes a red anamorphosis, paying tribute to Christian Louboutin’s iconic color and inviting visitors to think deeply about perspective, where perception changes based on one’s position, highlighting the subtle differences in experiences and interpretations. The journey ends with a large red head sculpture that fills the space, serving as an immersive display for the final chapter of the collection.

Jaden Smith offers his first glimpse into his universe with an avant-première capsule, dropping in select boutiques and on christianlouboutin.com from January 22nd, the day after his debut presentation. Revisiting signature silhouettes and introducing avant-garde pieces in a chromatic trilogy of red, black, and white, the capsule precedes the Men’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection presented and arriving in store in June.
