Eco-Shop join forces with Kechara Soup Kitchen to launch Jelajah Kasih Bersama Eco-Shop

Eco-Shop is launching Jelajah Kasih Bersama Eco-Shop, a month-long initiative from 9 February to 10 March 2026, bridging Chinese New Year and Ramadan through community giving. In its first partnership with Kechara Soup Kitchen, the retailer will provide essential care bundles to ten old folks’ homes, supporting underprivileged communities. The initiative also includes a broader range of household staples under the Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) programme, now offering over 60 additional essential products for families during this festive yet financially challenging season.

“At Eco-Shop, we understand that festive seasons can bring both joy and financial pressure,” said Jessica Ng, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Eco-Shop Malaysia

“Through Jelajah Kasih Bersama Eco-Shop and our continued support of the SARA initiative, we hope to lighten that burden by keeping essential goods within reach, while also encouraging Malaysians to share what they can with others.”

As part of this campaign, Eco-Shop will be contributing essential care bundles to the National Council of Senior Citizens Organisations, Pertubuhan Kesihatan dan Kebajikan Umum Malaysia, Pusat Jagaan Warga Emas Suria, Pusat Jagaan Orang Tua Poh Link, Tong Sim Senior Citizens Care Centre, Amitabha Foundation Elder Home, Persatuan Kebajikan Warga Emas Kenang Budi Kuala Lumpur, Yi Xing USJ Old Folks Home, Ebenezer Home, Destiny Starting Point Welfare Association Klang, ensuring residents have access to essential items during the festive period.

Customers can join the giving program through Bakul Jelajah Kasih at selected Eco-Shop stores. Shoppers can buy essential goods through the SARA program, place their donations in special bins, and get one free gift for their help.

The SARA program, in partnership with MyKasih Foundation, now has over 60 new essential products added to the existing selection. It includes key items like rice, cooking oil, eggs, canned food, instant noodles, drinks, and larger pack sizes of essentials. This allows customers to make the most of their SARA benefits while getting everyday necessities.

The new SARA items and Jelajah Kasih bersama Eco-Shop programs are available at six participating locations: Eco-Shop Gombak M3 Mall, Eco-Shop Gombak, Eco-Shop Segamat U Sentral, Eco-Shop Kuala Selangor, Eco-Shop Subang U9, and Eco-Shop Banting.

“While Chinese New Year and Ramadan may be different in tradition, they share the same meaning of coming together, caring for one another, and giving back,” Jessica added.

“By combining affordable essentials with opportunities to contribute, we hope Jelajah Kasih Bersama Eco-Shop becomes a reminder that care and togetherness should be part of every celebration.”
