Eco Business Park VII Business Ascend Forum Returns for a Second Edition

Eco Business Park VII (EBP VII), a modern industrial hub in Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0 (MVV 2.0), recently held the second EcoWorld Connects: Business Ascend Forum at EX8. This event focused on how businesses can prepare for their next growth stage.

With the theme “The Next Leap,” the forum asked business owners if they are truly ready for their next big chance. It featured entrepreneurs from three well-known Malaysian companies: Colony, Aerodyne, and Santan, who shared their experiences in sessions and during a panel discussion.

This forum followed the first edition in December 2025 and is part of EBP VII’s aim to build a business community in MVV 2.0. The event also announced the opening of registration for the second phase of the SME Core, after the first phase was fully subscribed.

“EcoWorld Connects was built on a simple idea, that businesses grow faster when they grow together. The response to our first forum told us the community wanted more, so this time we brought in leaders who have taken that next leap themselves. EBP VII is designed as a business ecosystem, where space, community and connections come together to help companies take their next step with confidence,” said Liew Tian Xiong, Deputy CEO of EcoWorld.

The morning started with a meeting about EBP VII, followed by a session where One Credit, a partner of the forum, shared insights. Three speakers took turns to present: Timothy Tiah, CEO of Colony Coworking & Event Spaces; Dato’ Dr Kamarul A Muhamed, Founder & Group CEO of Aerodyne Group; and Catherine Goh, CEO of Santan. They discussed how they spotted and took advantage of opportunities that helped their businesses grow. After their talks, they participated in a panel discussion led by Clement Liaw, EcoWorld’s Head of Operations for Eco Business Park V and VII, focusing on preparing for future growth.

One Credit also had an exhibition booth where attendees could meet their team and continue discussions from the morning. The morning wrapped up with a networking lunch by invitation only. Notable business leaders such as Datin Yap Shin Siang, CEO of YYC Group, and Dato’ Liew Bin, President of the Malaysia Retail Chain Association (MRCA), joined the speakers. Dato’ Ho Kwee Hong, EcoWorld’s Chief Development Officer (Eco Central-North & Eco Business Park), was also there.

EBP VII aims to be the go-to place for businesses in MVV 2.0 to take their next steps, with a sales gallery open for companies looking to grow in the area.
