Continental Tyres has launched the UltraContact UX7, a tyre specifically designed for urban SUV drivers. Given the heavier weight and higher center of gravity of SUVs, these tyres are constructed for improved vehicle control and stability, ensuring durability against various road conditions and terrains.
The UltraContact UX7 is designed specifically for SUV drivers, focusing on safety, durability, and noise comfort for a smoother driving experience. It features SUV Confidence+ Technology that enhances performance, especially at high speeds, managing the challenges posed by the heavier weight and higher center of gravity of SUVs during acceleration, braking, and cornering.
The UltraContact UX7’s X-Force Macroblocks increase contact with the road, providing a larger footprint for improved handling and stability on corners and uneven surfaces. The Adaptive Diamond Compound uses a special silica formula to convert kinetic energy into heat efficiently, leading to shorter braking distances in wet and dry conditions. The Aqua Channel feature quickly removes water through a unique tube system in the tread grooves, speeding up water evacuation.
The UltraContact UX7’s Robust360 Construction features a reinforced steel belt that strengthens the tyres to absorb road shocks, improving shape retention and stability; a sturdier carcass design to minimize tyre damage; and polymer chains of Diamond Compound that create a rigid network, enhancing wear performance and preventing cuts and chips. This results in greater durability and longevity, effectively supporting the weight of an SUV in various urban conditions, including occasional gravel or dirt paths.
The UX7 features a precision-cut tread that reduces noise by minimizing vibrations, while its Noisebreaker 3.0 technology disrupts sound waves to enhance cabin comfort during travel.
