Coco Loca & Real Food join forces with SPCA Selangor to launch innovative World Cup Furry Forecast Campaign

As football fever builds for the FIFA World Cup 2026, Malaysian fans will meet a unique wave of sports analysts. Local brand Coco Loca and wholesome nutrition partner Real Food have partnered with the SPCA to launch the “Furry Forecast” campaign.

This initiative redefines fan engagement by featuring 16 adorable rescue cats and dogs from SPCA Selangor as football “pundits” instead of human experts.

Starting from the high-stakes Round of 16 onwards, these furry pundits will use their natural intuition to select their favoured teams of each match, giving Malaysian fans – especially animal lovers – a uniquely novel and adorable way to follow the tournament, while adding a dose of lighthearted fun to the national football conversation.

By positioning shelter animals as its primary focus, the campaign brings a playful and compassionate twist to the tournament, connecting fans to these lovable animals through their shared love for the game.

Every “Furry Forecast” will be shared across social media, while serving as a powerful vehicle to highlight the individual personalities of these animals, paving a direct pathway for adoption and giving these rescue stars a real shot at finding their forever homes. 

The innovative concept was brought to life through the creative orchestration of leading PR and storytelling agency GO Communications, which initiated and facilitated the tripartite partnership between SPCA, Real Food, and Coco Loca. By uniting purpose-driven local brands with a vital community cause, the initiative shapes a campaign that seamlessly blends sports marketing with impactful social advocacy.
