The Christian Louboutin Spring/Summer 2026 Women’s collection was recently announced, as the collection takes inspiration from performing arts. Showcasing a harlequin motif throughout, the silhouettes express the freedom and extravagance of the stage.
Aqua, a new line of platform boots and crossstrap pumps, captures the circus spirit with sculptural flair, especially the patchwork Damier version in ultra-soft leather featuring a vibrant multicoloured diamond pattern.
This harlequin pattern reappears on the Doria pump from the Kate Max line of shoes in elegant black with rhinestones. Doria Offenbee offers a playful tulle clown collar-inspired ankle strap, while a plain satin strap is included for convenience. Also focused on comfort yet extravagant, Kate Max Circus features blue and black leather with sheer cutouts in various styles, reminiscent of circus boots. Mère Lachaise elevates the line with handcraft: each black pump is adorned with a colorful hand-stitched taffeta bouquet of roses for a unique look.
Also taking centre stage this season, the ballet-inspired Cassia line returns with exciting evolutions. Inspired by the elegance of pointe shoes, the new ballerina flat Cassia features elastic straps across the foot. A new heeled edition includes a wool leg warmer-style upper, channeling a rehearsal-room aesthetic in high fashion. Also being released for summer are a high-heeled mule Cassia in smooth leather or silver laminated nappa, and the ankle-boot counterpart, Pavolva, both in crepe satin reflecting the elegance of evening-wear.
Another icon of the Maison, Miss Z, returns in the cabaret-inspired Miss Z Degrastrass Perla, a modern glass slipper reminiscent of Parisian nights in flat and heeled versions, featuring iridescent rhinestones and pearls cascading from toe to heel. The Miss Z Poupi sandals enhance the theme with feathers on the toe that highlight each step. The Erozeena flat and Erozee heel offer classic comfort with a slim ankle strap, while the Yangzee knee-high boot showcases plush synthetic fur in a luxurious snowy edition. In time for summer, Miss Z evolves with low, medium, and high slingback heels, alongside the new kitten-heeled Mulazee mule, which features a ton-sur-ton fabric knot at the toe, emphasizing its feminine décolleté.
Other seasonal novelties include the Affabula sandal line with a playful scrunchie-inspired heel, offering a mule with elegantly wrapping side bands and a lace-up bow sandal that evokes gift wrap charm. The new Fanny line features a soft almond toe and modern block heel, looking slim from the back yet structured from the side, available in various materials and silhouettes including pumps, ankle boots, and Mary Janes. Completing the lineup is the Mara sneaker, inspired by dance and crafted to be the lightest, softest style yet, with a flexible sole and a refined mix of calf leather, suede, and mesh for active lifestyles.
A new attitude that fuses luxury with craftsmanship marks this season’s leather bags. The chunky metal chain of the Eva highlights its supple nappa leather, with a small version for handholding and a larger version featuring a comfortable leather pad on its strap. The limited Eva Losange Strass showcases a rhinestone circus-themed motif that complements the footwear. The Venus line embodies the thoughtful detail of Christian Louboutin’s heritage, offered in various editions like tote, shoulder, and crossbody, each balancing timeless luxury with everyday functionality. Made with uncoated calf cord leather to highlight its full-grain texture, the collection also includes a handmade Venus baguette, reimagining the harlequin motif with signature artistry.
