CelcomDigi Berhad (“CelcomDigi”) has launched Malaysia’s first industrial B2B use case powered by 5G Standalone (5G-SA) at its Advanced Intelligent Warehouse. This facility demonstrates how advanced connectivity, AI, robotics, and automation can enhance productivity, efficiency, safety, and resilience in warehouse and supply chain operations.
The warehouse has enhanced space utilisation by 30%, boosted operational efficiency by over 50%, and achieved up to 100% inventory precision using CelcomDigi’s 5G-SA network, AI, and autonomous systems.
This integrated ecosystem fosters a safer workplace by minimizing manual intervention in risky tasks through AI-powered monitoring and real-time alerts. By automating repetitive processes, employees can concentrate on higher-value roles, facilitate workforce upskilling, and promote more agile and resilient operations.
The initiative was created with key technology partners like Move Robotics, Infinium Robotics, Ailytics, Cobra Security Electronics (CSE), and ZTE. They provide valuable expertise in areas such as autonomous robotics, drone inventory management, AI video analytics, connected fleet management, and digital twin technologies, forming a cohesive system that improves warehouse operations. It also received a grant from the Bengkel Inovasi GLC (BIG) programme run by the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, and Cradle Fund, demonstrating how collaboration among the government, GLCs, startups, and industry partners can speed up technology use and achieve significant business results.
The facility in Shah Alam was officially launched by the Minister of Communications, Dato’ Fahmi Fadzil.
