CelcomDigi Berhad (CelcomDigi) has partnered with KPJ Healthcare Berhad (KPJ) to enhance telemedicine services for better cross-border healthcare access. This collaboration aims to provide specialized treatments and affordable care, making Malaysia a hub for healthcare tourism.
The partnership facilitates connections between patients and international specialists, particularly beneficial for those in remote areas. It reduces travel costs, allowing for quicker consultations and continuity of care post-treatment, thus helping patients manage recovery effectively.
This initiative aims to eliminate geographical and financial barriers, establishing Malaysia as a leader in health tourism and digital healthcare innovation. The MoU signing involved Shahril Mizani Ariffin from KPJ and Kugan Thirunavakarasu from CelcomDigi, witnessed by YB Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Digital.
Kugan highlighted that this partnership transforms healthcare delivery by overcoming traditional barriers, while KPJ’s Chin Keat Chyuan emphasized that integrating AI and telemedicine enhances patient outcomes and fosters a connected healthcare ecosystem.
