Castrol partners with SANY to strengthen Malaysia’s growing heavy equipment demand

Castrol Malaysia has partnered with SANY Malaysia to enhance Malaysia’s heavy equipment sector through lubricant supply, technical support, and customer engagement initiatives.

The agreement was signed in the presence of senior leaders from both organisations. Representing Castrol were Mr Mike Zhang, Vice President of Castrol Asia Pacific, Mr Gan Wee Kiong, Country Sales Director of Malaysia, Singapore and Philippines and Mr Victor Cheong, Head of Marketing AsPac. Representing SANY were Mr Liao Wei, Chairman of the Board of SANY Singapore Malaysia and Australia BU, and Mr Qi Long, Deputy General Manager of Spare Parts Subsidiary for the same region.

Mr Mike Zhang, Vice President of Castrol Asia Pacific, commented, “Working alongside SANY reflects our commitment to supporting the industries that are driving Malaysia’s development. By bringing Castrol’s liquid engineering expertise into the machinery that powers construction, infrastructure and logistics, we are helping operators improve equipment reliability, reduce avoidable downtime and maintain performance in demanding operating environments.” Representatives from SANY Malaysia and Castrol Malaysia at the signing ceremony.

The partnership allows Castrol to supply engine oils, gear oils, hydraulic fluids, and greases for SANY’s heavy machinery. Castrol will provide technical services, lubrication guidance, and training for SANY teams and customers, ensuring effective application across systems. Both companies will work on identifying lubrication solutions that optimize performance across varying operational demands.

Mr Liao Wei, Chairman of the Board of SANY Singapore, Malaysia and Australia BU, said, “As SANY continues to expand in Malaysia, our focus remains on supporting contractors, fleet owners and operators throughout the lifecycle of their equipment. Castrol’s lubrication knowledge strengthens our aftersales capabilities and allows us to deliver more consistent on-ground support across our equipment network.”

Castrol’s collaboration with SANY centers on leveraging Castrol’s liquid engineering expertise to enhance equipment performance under various conditions. This partnership aids in protecting critical components, enabling better maintenance planning and lubricant availability for SANY equipment used in construction and infrastructure projects. With a nationwide distribution network and a blending plant in Port Klang, Castrol ensures responsive supply as demand increases. The agreement also emphasizes strategic relationships with OEMs to support long-term growth in Malaysia’s heavy equipment sector, enhancing productivity, reliability, and efficiency through innovative lubrication solutions.
