Canon Marketing Malaysia (“Canon”) has introduced a new content creation kit featuring the EOS R6 V, a full-frame camera, and the RF20-50mm f/4L IS USM PZ, the first full-frame professional-grade L-series lens with a built-in power zoom.
The EOS R6 V offers advanced stills and video capabilities from the EOS R6 Mark III, enhanced with a cooling fan and a vertical tripod socket for social media. Its full-frame CMOS sensor supports up to 32.5 megapixels and 7K Open Gate recording, providing expansive field-of-view options.
The RF20-50mm f/4L IS USM PZ complements the EOS R6 V with a versatile 20–50mm range, ideal for various framing needs. Its built-in Power Zoom ensures smooth transitions, while the constant f/4 aperture delivers consistent exposure.

The EOS R6 V features 7K Open Gate RAW/MP4 shooting, providing creators with flexibility in framing when adapting horizontal content to vertical formats. Its built-in cooling fan extends recording time in 7K MP4 to three times longer than the EOS R6 Mark III, ideal for long interviews or events.
Designed for vertical content, it includes a dedicated vertical tripod socket for stable mounting without extra brackets. The UI reorients automatically, ensuring a seamless shooting experience, while the minimal design integrates easily with rigs and accessories.

Both the EOS R6 V and RF20-50mm f/4L IS USM PZ are compact and lightweight, making them ideal for on-the-go use. The built-in image stabilisation systems—five-axis sensor-shift in the R6 V and Optical IS in the lens—work together to ensure stable footage. The ergonomic grip of the R6 V enhances comfort during handheld shooting.
The RF20-50mm lens offers a versatile 20mm to 50mm zoom, making it perfect for rich establishment shots and close-ups with a minimum focusing distance of 0.24m. Users can easily switch between power zooming and manual zoom, with configurable zoom speeds, while the lens length remains constant to avoid rebalancing support systems.

When in stills mode, the EOS R6 V provides the strong performance similar to the EOS R6 Mark III and EOS C50. Its 32.5-megapixel full-frame sensor captures amazing detail and color range, allowing for tight crops or high-quality 300 dpi A3 prints. The RF20-50mm f/4L IS USM PZ lens is built to reduce problems like distortion and flares, ensuring great image quality.
The electronic shutter of the EOS R6 V allows for continuous shooting at up to 40 frames per second and works with the same autofocus system as the EOS R6 Mark III. The In-Body Image Stabilization provides stabilisation up to 7.5 stops in the center and 7.0 stops at the edges when taking still pictures. The RF20-50mm f/4L IS USM PZ also excels in low light, with its Optical Image Stabilization correcting camera shake by up to 6 stops. When used with an EOS R series camera that has In-Body IS, it offers stabilization of up to 8.0 stops in the center and edges.
Capture Yourself Effortlessly
The EOS R6 V and RF20-50mm f/4L IS USM PZ make it easy for creators to film themselves. The camera has a front recording button and a light that shows when it’s recording, while the zoom ring on the lens is easy to reach. Users can control the camera and zoom remotely through the Camera Connect app. Another option is the new Wireless Remote Controller BR-E2, which is great for creative camera setups.
The Bluetooth Wireless Remote Controller BR-E2 gives users more control over taking photos and videos compared to the older model (Wireless Remote Shutter BR-E1). It features a special button for shooting videos and lets you assign different functions. It also comes with the new Tripod Grip HG-200TBR, which can be used as a portable tripod or a selfie stick.

Designed for advanced filmmaking, the EOS R6 V includes Canon Log 2/3, Custom Picture settings, custom LUTs, a waveform monitor, 4-channel audio recording, and a standard HDMI Type-A port. For creative filmmakers, Colour Filters and S&F (Slow & Fast Motion) modes allow for easy style creation.
Weighing only about 420g and measuring around 98.4mm, the RF20-50mm f/4L IS USM offers excellent optical quality, sometimes even better than the popular RF24-105mm f/4L IS USM. Its constant aperture and unique features like power zooming make it a versatile tool for any creative project, while its dust- and drip-resistant design means it can withstand tough conditions wherever you go.
The EOS R6 V and RF20-50mm f/4L IS USM PZ lens kit goes for $3,699.00 in the US. As of now, there is no official pricing announced for the kit in Malaysia as of the time writing this article.
