BYD and DENZA sets up Light the Change Festival at Desa ParkCity for a Month-Long Immersive Sustainability Experience

BYD and DENZA is spearheading at the ParkCity Year-End Light Festival at The Waterfront @ Desa ParkCity. The Light the Change festival goes beyond just visuals to encourage important discussions on sustainability and the future of transportation. The brands show their dedication to environmental responsibility while promoting connection and progress. They believe that taking care of our planet depends on teamwork among communities, consumers, and industry leaders.

The initiative One Degree. One Future aims to cool the Earth by one degree Celsius. It highlights how BYD and DENZA’s electric vehicles, energy innovations, and sustainability efforts can create positive changes for a healthier environment. Since entering the new energy vehicle market, BYD’s electric solutions have helped cut down over 9.3 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions worldwide.

In Malaysia, BYD and DENZA have sold 12,872 units as of November 2025, which is a 76% increase compared to last year. Overall sales in Malaysia have topped 25,233 units, with Malaysian drivers leading a growing electric vehicle movement and positively impacting society and the planet. These electric vehicles are estimated to cut down 62,191 tonnes of carbon dioxide each year, which is like planting nearly 2.5 million trees, showcasing the power of smart choices and innovative technology.

“Participation in the Light the Change Festival reflects a clear message. Sustainability is not a far-off goal but a responsibility shared by communities, industries, and individuals. As a global leader in new energy vehicles, the brands are committed to creating meaningful experiences that help Malaysians understand how everyday choices, including the shift to electric mobility, contribute to a cooler and healthier environment. This showcase is a reminder that progress begins with collective action, and we believe that each person who engages with the festival becomes part of a growing movement toward a more sustainable future,” said Eagle Zhao, Managing Director of BYD Malaysia.
