ASUS Republic of Gamers unveils latest ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X, powered by AMD Ryzen Z2 A and AI Z2 Extreme Processor

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has partnered with Xbox to unveiled the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X, delivering top-class ergonomics and a full-screen Xbox experience, integrating Xbox and PC gaming.

The ROG Xbox Ally features an AMD Ryzen Z2 A Processor for power efficiency, while the ROG Xbox Ally X includes the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme Processor for enhanced gaming performance. Both models will be launched in holiday 2025 in select markets, with more markets to follow.

All-day comfort

The ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X showcase a redesigned chassis prioritizing comfort for handheld gaming. With a new palm rest and textured patterns, these devices offer an enhanced grip, drawing inspiration from Xbox. The Ally X also includes impulse triggers for improved haptics, adding nuance and immersion in supported games. These are ROG’s most comfortable and immersive handhelds to date.

Seamless software experience

As soon as players power on the device, they enter the full screen Xbox experience. Optimized for the ROG Xbox Ally, the Windows 11 software reduces system overhead and enables easy joystick and button navigation. Access to settings and customizable widgets is available via the Game Bar with a press of the Xbox button. With Windows 11 running underneath, games and mods from other sources remain easily accessible. The ROG Xbox Ally combines the power of Xbox, the craftsmanship of ROG, and the versatility of Windows in one device.

Efficiency and performance

The ROG Xbox Ally X features the powerful AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme Processor, providing ample performance for AAA games. With software optimizations from the new Xbox experience, it promises next-gen handheld gaming.

The ROG Xbox Ally delivers console-level performance with its AMD Ryzen Z2 A Processor and efficient 60Wh battery for enhanced battery life. The ROG Xbox Ally X boosts performance further with the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme Processor, allowing for better graphical fidelity and framerates. Both processors utilize AMD’s latest graphic software, including FidelityFX Super Resolution and Radeon Super Resolution, for improved performance. The ROG Xbox Ally X also features an NPU, preparing it for future AI capabilities.
