Join in the for the in-depth review for the ASUS Expertbook Ultra at below.
Design – Inspired by plane’s wing, lightweight and durable

First off, the laptop’s design is inspired on a plane’s wing, giving a sleek look to soar to a new heights.
The laptop has a starting weight of 990 gram, and you definitely can feel it the moment you pick it up, with one hand effortlessly. With the 10.9mm thickness of Magnesium-Aluminum Alloy + CNC chassis, the Expertbook Ultra feels solid despite in ultra compact.
Durablity is a must for the professionals as they bring their laptop to anywhere. Hence, Expertbook Ultra received the ASUS Nano Ceramic Technology (9H) and MIL-STD 810H (24 tests) to withstand scratch & stain resistance. The brand also make sure it is able to withstand impact by making it withstand 100kg pressure resistance + extensive stress testing, to give the users a peace of mind to focus on their task without worrying about the toughest conditions. The use of Aerospace Grade Magnesium Aluminum provides not only lightness and strong feel, but also better ductility & corrosion resistance and excellent dimensional stability.

The IO ports on the sides are excellent for all users as you get USB3.2 Gen2 Type-A and Thunderbolt 4 Type-C on the right side, while the left side offers Thunderbolt 4 Type-C, HDMI 2.1 TMDS, USB3.2 Gen2 Type-A and Audio combo jack. The complete offering of USB Type-A and Type-C means you can connect any peripherals without a converter dongle.
Performance – Complete your task faster and last longer with new Intel Panther Lake Core and large battery capacity

The loan review unit I have is powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra X7 358H with 32GB LPDDR5x RAM, which is plentiful enough to run any task, from simple documents file to rendering video. As the laptop supports Intel Core Ultra X9/X7 with 12Xe Graphics at 50W CPU TDP, you can even do 1080p gaming, however, this laptop is focus on productivity so I shall leave the gaming aside.
Sustaining long period of performance is a must for productivity and ASUS equipped the Ultra with the ASUS ExpertCool Pro Technology. The advanced full-span cooling system, uses triple rear air outlets via dual fans to gather central air pressure by 12%, where it cools the SSD and CPU while enabling 50W performance in turbo mode. You also don’t have to worry about the fan’s noise as ASUS claims it delivers: <20dB Whisper mode 15W; <28dB Balanced mode 25W; and <42dB Performance mode: 45W*
To remain operation long period without finding a wall charger is important. The Ultra has a 70Wh Huge Battery, where the company is claiming it can last around 24 hours. But reality wise, if you’re going to do normal light task, you can stretch it to around 12 hours of usage. For heavy productivity, you are looking around 3-5 hours of usage. All this figures are also depends on your display brightness, volume loudness and so on.
Keyboard and touchpad – Seamless experience

Navigating on the ExpertBook Ultra is just feels so seamless. The keyboard has a 1.5mm key travel, giving a pleasant tactile feedback. The keyboard also has backlight feature, making it great to use during ideas spring up in the midnight.

The touchpad is also unlike the rest has it introduced a large Haptic Touchpad. The 110cm2 haptic 6-sensor touchpad with AAC haptic motor allows the glass touch surface to clickable until to the edge and has an adequate haptic transfer feel.
Display and Audio – Surprisingly great for content consumption

My review unit of the ExpertBook Ultra uses a 14″ 3K Tandem OLED 1400nits HDR with touchscreen capability. It also supports VRR 30-120Hz refresh rate. All this allowing it to be perfect for content consumption. If you happened to do colour grading, the display has been rated for 100% DCI-P3 Color Gamut, 133% sRGB Color Gamut, Delta-E < 1 Color Accuracy and VESA Certified DisplayHDR True Black 1000.
The display also uses Anti-glare Gorilla Glass Matte & Gorilla Glass Victus, offering nice glare reduction and protecting it.

Taking things another notch is the 6 speaker drivers with Dolby Atmos. During its Singapore launch, it was compared side by side with the competition and even speakerphone, where the ExpertBook Ultra’s speakers beat them in clarity, bass and loudness. So, if you love to stream music, the speakers on the ExpertBook Ultra is going to deliver an immersive experience
Security – Enterprise-Grade Security ready to protect your private sensitive data
With the ASUS ExpertGuardian on the laptop, you’re getting the enterprise-grade security which protects the users from hardware to software. This includes ASUS Security Processor, MoC Fingerprint, Microsoft Secured-Core PC, NIST SP 800-193 verified compliance. Dual self-healing BIOS, Discrete TPM2.0, OPAL SED* storage support, Microsoft Pluton*, Webcam shield, CAM+Mic indicators and Chassis intrusion detection.
