Astro has officially shared its 30th anniversary celebration plan by unveiling a series of customer offerings and experiences. In appreciation of Malaysians’ continued support, the celebration will feature complimentary viewing of Astro’s full channel line-up, two pop-up channels, free access to Astro X3 on Smart TV, expanded NJOI free tier channels, exclusive event rewards and nationwide on-ground activations.

Exclusive Offers and Experiences
As part of Astro’s 30th anniversary and National Day celebrations, customers can enjoy special rewards and exclusive experiences from August to December 2026.
From 15 August to 16 September, all Astro customers will get free access to all channels. Customers can also look forward to two special pop-up channels: Astro 30 (CH 100) and Aniplus (CH 120).
- Astro 30 (CH 100), available from 15 August to 31 October 2026 will bring together a special line-up of international hits, blockbuster films, concerts and fan-favourite programmes. Highlights include all eight Spider-Man films, Borneo Rising, The Last Kopek Senario Reunion 30 Tahun, BTS: Love Yourself in New York Concert Film, How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies, Tekad: Ekspedisi Guthrie Everest 2026 and Tom Tom Bak Reboot. The channel will also premiere five original telemovies.
- Aniplus (CH 120), available from 15 August to 31 December 2026, offering anime fans access to some of Japan’s latest and most popular series including Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia, Trapped in a Dating Sim 2: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs, Hanaori-san Still Wants to Fight in the Next Life, and more.
In addition, Astro customers will get free access to the new Astro X3 on compatible Smart TVs, allowing them to watch shows using the Astro app without needing an extra box.
NJOI customers will also have more content, with Astro Prima (CH 105), Astro Oasis (CH 106), Astro AEC (CH 306), and Stadium Astro (CH 802) added to NJOI’s free channels from 13 August 2026. This will bring the total number of free channels to 26.
Astro Audio will celebrate with communities across the country through KITA FM 2026: Satu Nama, Satu Suara. This special event will unite all 13 Astro Audio brands in a live outdoor broadcast, featuring a bus tour, meet-and-greet sessions, and fun activities. It will start on Merdeka Day at Dataran Putrajaya and end in Kuching, Sarawak, on 16 September 2026. During Malaysia Day, KITA FM will also launch a 63KM Nationwide Run with radio announcers trying to enter the Malaysia Book of Records, along with a multilingual theme song, “KITA”, available on major streaming platforms.
For those attending events and concerts, the MY FM Big Show is back on 17 October 2026 at Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting. It will feature MY FM announcers and a mix of local and international artists for one of the biggest events in Malaysia’s radio scene. Astro customers can enjoy exclusive rewards like free or discounted tickets for the ALPHA First Wave concert, MY FM Big Show, Gegar Vaganza, and the KITA Countdown Concert, as well as fast access to character meet-and-greet sessions at Home of Kids events and major sports events like the Sepak Takraw League and Sultan Azlan Shah Cup.
Astro 30th Anniversary Showcase
The celebrations will happen on 23 August 2026 at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur with the Astro 30th Anniversary Showcase. It will feature some of the country’s biggest stars and new talents like Faizal Tahir, Sherry Al Hadad, Stacy Anam, ALPHA, Vanessa Reynauld, Auddra, and Zeppo Youngsterz. Fans can also meet their favorite contestants from Talk To My Manager 2, including Cik B, Azeva, and Amarra, along with the winners of Big Stage Rocketfuel and Big Stage Tamil.
Audiences will get to meet the cast of upcoming shows and movies, like the Chinese drama Wolong: The Mastermind, the Tamil series Visham and Mounam Pesiyadhe, the prequel to Project: High Council, Kudrat, and the film Terbang, based on the true story of Malaysian rally legend Karamjit Singh. Some Astro customers will have the chance to enjoy the showcase from the exclusive VIP Rock Zone, getting closer to their favorite stars.
