ASELSAN expanding to Asia-Pacific at Malaysia’s DSA-NATSEC Exhibition

ASELSAN, Turkey’s leading defence electronics company, is set to attend the DSA-NATSEC International Defence Industry and National Security Exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 6th to 9th May 2024. The exhibition will feature 1,320+ companies from 60 countries as exhibitors and 34 countries hosting their own pavilions. ASELSAN aims to expand its presence in the Asia-Pacific region and strengthen ties between Malaysia and Türkiye. General Manager Ahmet Akyol emphasized the strategic importance of Malaysia in ASELSAN’s global expansion plans, stating that the country serves as a strategic hub for its growth strategy in the Asia-Pacific region.

The longstanding cooperation between Malaysia and Türkiye in the defence industry provides a solid foundation for ASELSAN’s further push into the region. Both countries have expressed keen interest in further developing cooperation to leverage their joint expertise in defence technologies. This collaborative approach extends beyond mere purchase agreements to investments, manufacturing, and technology transfer, aligning with ASELSAN’s vision of building lasting partnerships and contributing to Malaysia’s defence modernization efforts.

ASELSAN will present a range of products, with a particular focus on advanced naval systems. The company aims to enhance its market share and establish itself as a key player in Malaysia’s defence industry landscape, leveraging its national systems and expertise to elevate Malaysia’s defence capabilities and contribute to the country’s advancement in the global defence arena.
