Thunder Motorcycles, a custom motorcycle brand founded by famous Japanese builder Noro Yuji-san and Chinese expert Ka-san, has officially launched in Malaysia at the Art of Speed 2026, the country’s top custom and lifestyle automotive festival at MAEPS, Serdang.
Established in 2020, Thunder Motorcycles aims to combine authentic Japanese custom motorcycle culture with modern engineering. The brand focuses on creating factory-built motorcycles that feature classic bobber designs while ensuring great reliability, quality, and practicality for everyday use. Thunder allows riders to enjoy the appearance and feel of a custom motorcycle without the high costs and complexities of aftermarket changes.
In Malaysia, Thunder Motorcycle is managed by Bike Continent Sdn Bhd, the exclusive distributor, led by Managing Director Ronnie Chen. The importation and compliance with regulations are handled by Mofaz Motosikal Sdn Bhd, represented by Dato’ Nik, ensuring that all Thunder motorcycles meet Malaysian standards for quality and regulation.
Thunder Motorcycles is demonstrating its commitment to the Malaysian market by establishing seven authorized dealerships across the country, offering sales, spare parts, servicing, and after-sales support. The company plans to further expand its dealer network in the coming months to enhance accessibility for riders and ensure comprehensive service and a premium ownership experience.
To celebrate its first appearance in Malaysia, Thunder Motorcycles has teamed up with Art of Speed Malaysia. This partnership was announced by Asep Ahmad Iskandar, the Founder and Festival Director of Art of Speed, along with Ronnie Chen, the Managing Director of Bike Continent Sdn Bhd.
As part of this collaboration, the Art of Speed team has designed a unique custom Thunder LS250-S, which highlights the creativity and skill of Malaysia’s custom motorcycle scene.
This special custom motorcycle will be the Grand Prize for the Kembara Passport activity at the festival, giving one lucky participant the chance to own a distinctive Thunder motorcycle.
The launch event also celebrated the official handover of Malaysia’s first 1-to-1 Custom Thunder LS250-S motorcycles to their proud new owners.
