In 2026, AIA Malaysia celebrates the 10th anniversary of AIA Vitality, a health and wellness programme designed to turn everyday choices into long-term positive health outcomes for Malaysians. Since its launch in 2016, AIA Vitality has evolved, offering a wellness programme combined with insurance-linked benefits, reflecting AIA’s commitment to helping Malaysians live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.
The programme promotes sustainable health habits and rewards members for proactive health steps, covering physical activity, balanced nutrition, and routine check-ups. AIA Vitality shifts the insurance model from a passive payor to an active partner, encouraging healthy lifestyles. Members earn policy benefits, including wealth boosters and cashback, progressing from Bronze to Platinum status for greater rewards.
After ten years, AIA Vitality has grown to over 391,000 members, highlighting a demand for health solutions. In 2025, members recorded 230 billion steps and earned over RM18 million in rewards, demonstrating significant engagement and participation.
The programme focuses on three key areas to support members in their health journey: Know Your Health, Improve Your Health, and Enjoy the Rewards. Members start by taking the AIA Vitality Health Review, which finds their “AIA Vitality Age,” a personalized measure of health that can be higher or lower than their real age.
As of 31 December 2025, data from AIA Vitality Health Checks demonstrates the programme’s significant and measurable impact on members’ health. Among participating members:
- 49% have improved their blood pressure
- 61% have achieved healthier cholesterol levels
- 79% have improved glucose levels
- 43% have recorded improvements in Body Mass Index (BMI)

Chai Tze Siang, Chief Marketing Officer of AIA Malaysia shared, “These results underscore the effectiveness of AIA Vitality as a long-term preventive health platform—one that raises early awareness of health risks and, more importantly, drives sustained behavioural change with our customer.”

Heng Zee Wang, Chief Executive Officer of AIA Malaysia said, “Since its launch in 2016, AIA Vitality has empowered Malaysians to take charge of their health, make better lifestyle choices, and be rewarded for the small actions that add up to real change. Over the past ten years, we have helped our members move more, eat better, prioritise rest, and improve key health metrics. We are proud that this programme has not only changed behaviours at scale, but has also redefined what insurance can do, in line with our mission to help Malaysians live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.
As AIA Vitality celebrates its 10th anniversary, personalization will play a vital role in its continued evolution, offering tailored activity targets and feedback to members. The program aims to be inclusive for all Malaysians, from newcomers to long-time participants, through engaging initiatives like the AIA Vitality Carnival and Score Marathon. AIA Malaysia is dedicated to making preventive health accessible and relevant for everyone at different stages of their wellness journeys. With upcoming enhancements, AIA Vitality strives to empower individuals and families to improve their wellbeing and live healthier, longer lives.
