WTC Automotif (M) Sdn Bhd (WTCA) has announced a refreshed GAC GS3 EMZOOM for this year. Under the theme “Refreshed, Ready, Revved Up,” the update brings minor design enhancements, reinforcing its appeal as one of the most engaging and performance driven SUVs in its segment.
The latest update includes a redesigned Flowing Diamond Star front grille and a new two-tone exterior option for the Premium R variant. The EMZOOM is now available in four colour options: Graphite Grey with Black Roof, Super Star Silver with Black Roof, Frost White with Black Roof, and Asphalt Black.
“We have seen strong interest in the EMZOOM among Malaysians, particularly for its balance of performance, features, and value,” said Loh Ling Howe, Chief Operating Officer of WTCA. “This refresh enhances its visual appeal while maintaining the core strength of sportiness that have made it a popular choice in its segment.”
Under the hood, the EMZOOM has a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine that produces 177 PS and 270 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. It offers quick performance for city and highway driving. With a 0–100 km/h time of 8 seconds and fuel efficiency rated at 5.9L/100km, it balances power and fuel savings well.
The EMZOOM is well-equipped with features like a digital cockpit with dual screens, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and Full Automatic Parking Assist (FAPA). The Premium R variant also features a switchable sports exhaust system and an Aero kit for a sportier drive.
Pricing has not changed, highlighting the EMZOOM’s great value. It starts at RM116,800 for the Exclusive variant and RM126,800 for the Premium R variant (Peninsular Malaysia, on-the-road without insurance). For a limited time, customers can get rebates of up to RM18,500, with monthly payments starting as low as RM912.
The EMZOOM is supported by GAC’s growing network of 23 showrooms and 45 service centres nationwide. It comes with a 5-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty, along with a 7-year/180,000 km engine and transmission warranty.
The refreshed EMZOOM will be available at GAC showrooms nationwide, with test drives open to customers from 9 to 10 May.
