BMW Motorrad Malaysia has officially launched the 2025 BMW F 900 XR and 2025 BMW R 12 nineT, further expanding its range of motorcycles that cater to the diverse needs and preferences of Malaysian riders.
The 2025 BMW F 900 XR offers technical and visual upgrades plus enhanced standard features for long-distance riding. Meanwhile, the 2025 BMW R 12 nineT combines BMW Motorrad’s classic roadster heritage with modern technology, high craftsmanship, and customization options.
The 2025 BMW F 900 XR
The 2025 BMW F 900 XR offers precise handling across tough terrains, transitioning seamlessly into a dependable ride for long journeys. It features a new 43 mm upside-down telescopic fork that guides the front wheel, with adjustable rebound, compression damping, and spring preload for customization. The new 17-inch cast aluminium wheels are 1.8 kg lighter than the previous model, and combined with a 0.8 kg lighter battery, contribute to a total weight reduction of 3 kg. An engine spoiler enhances both performance and aerodynamic efficiency.
As standard, the F 900 XR features improved touring capabilities, including optimized aerodynamics, a new wind deflector, hand protectors, and upgraded visibility with Headlight Pro. Other additions include a USB-C charging port and heated grips.
Powered by a high-performance 895cc engine delivering 105 hp and 93 Nm of torque, the bike boasts a 6-speed transmission and achieves 0-100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 200 km/h. Safety is paramount with features like Dynamic Brake Control, ABS Pro, and Dynamic ESA for enhanced stability. The Gear Shift Assistant Pro facilitates smooth, clutch-less shifting, while Tyre Pressure Control monitors tyre pressure.
Convenience features include Keyless Ride for easy ignition access and Cruise Control for comfort during long distances. The bike is available in Racing Blue/Lightwhite uni with stylish accents.
2025 BMW R 12 nine T
The 2025 BMW R 12 nineT showcases the iconic boxer engine and a traditional motorcycle appeal with extensive personalisation options. It features a lightweight tubular steel spaceframe that enhances its classic look. The aluminium fuel tank and seat create a dynamic profile, while the upside-down fork improves handling. Notable elements include radial brake calipers, twin-disc brakes, chrome-plated header, and 17-inch cast wheels. Its ergonomic design brings the rider closer to the handlebars, improving knee contact, alongside two analogue instruments and convenient USB-C and 12V sockets.
The 2025 R 12 nineT features a 1,170cc water-cooled, 2-cylinder boxer engine that produces 109 hp (80kW) at 7,000 rpm and 115 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, with a 6-speed gearbox and hydraulic dry clutch. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds and has a top speed over 200 km/h, with a fuel consumption of 5.1 l/100km (WLTP).
The 2025 BMW R 12 nineT comes with advanced safety features, including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) for stability, BMW Motorrad ABS Pro for better braking, and LED Headlights with an adaptive Headlight Pro system for optimal visibility.
For enhanced connectivity, it includes Keyless Ride and Connected Ride Control. The Comfort Package provides Cruise Control, Hill Start Control, and Heated Grips for comfortable long rides, along with selectable modes—Rain, Road, and Dynamic—for tailored performance in various conditions.
The 2025 BMW R 12 nineT will be offer in a sole colour of Black Storm Metallic in Malaysia.
