ZTE Corporation recently showcased its AI-driven innovations at the “Catalyzing Intelligent Innovation” event in Kuala Lumpur, reflecting advancements from Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025. The focus was on building ultra-efficient mobile networks through its Ultra Band Radio (UBR) technology, which enables compact, eco-friendly deployment. Key features included 5G-A solutions for low-latency 4K AR broadcasting and drone logistics.

ZTE also emphasized its All-Optical Networks with AI integration, presenting a smart home ecosystem featuring an AI Home Media Center and Wi-Fi 7 series. A notable highlight was the AIR DNA Future Network, which optimizes mobile network operations through AI, alongside the AiCube computing solution designed for large data centers and edge computing, supporting diverse applications from smart cities to intelligent factories.

ZTE is expanding its consumer-focused ‘nubia’ brand in Malaysia with the nubia Neo 3 series, officially branded as the Co-Branded Gaming Smartphone for Free Fire, combining its “Born to Win” spirit with Free Fire’s “BOOYAH” philosophy for an accessible esports-grade gaming experience. The new lineup includes gaming enhancements like shoulder triggers and a 4083mm² VC liquid cooling system, along with AI features such as Demi, an AI gaming companion, and AI-powered tools for photography and voice interaction. ZTE also emphasized its global policy leadership through GSMA forums, aiming to collaborate with local regulators for Malaysia’s digital future.

Steven Ge, Managing Director of ZTE Malaysia, said during his keynote speech, “ZTE Malaysia has proudly spearheaded several landmark achievements, including setting a Malaysia Book of Records title for the fastest 5G-Advanced speed reaching 30.8 Gbps during a live test in Sarawak. Furthermore, ZTE is deeply committed to bridging Malaysia’s digital divide. Through active support of national initiatives like JENDELA, we have modernized and expanded coverage especially in rural and underserved areas.”
