Yes 5G has launched their latest campaign that uses Malaysian Voices on unaddressed telco issues to convince consumers to reconsider its offerings.
The campaign see the brand taking over billboards across the city to highlight grouse on capped data and speed, sky-high prices, and ridiculous hidden charges. Positioned in high-traffic areas such as Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC), and Berjaya Times Square, these billboards highlight the widespread frustrations felt by many. By amplifying Malaysian Voices, Yes 5G encourages the public to rise above mediocre telco offerings, and break free from the exploitation of their current telcos.
Yes 5G Challenges the Telco Landscape
Since the launch of Malaysia’s 5G network, Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil has stressed the significance of mobile network operators addressing all telecommunication-related concerns voiced by the public. Customers have the right to receive high-quality service that matches the value of their subscription, without capped data or speed. Unfortunately, it’s all too common for traditional telcos to raise prices, overcharge, and impose data and speed limits. Recognising the need for a change, Yes 5G is stepping up to the challenge.
“At Yes 5G, we are committed to making 5G technology affordable and accessible for all Malaysians. Through the Malaysian Voices campaign, we aspire to provide a platform for Malaysians to express their frustrations with their telcos, addressing issues such as their false “unlimited” claims, overpriced data plans, and capped speed with slow connectivity. These concerns should not be overlooked, and we are here to empower Malaysians to make informed telco choices. At Yes 5G, we believe that it’s time to confront these frustrations head-on.” said Wing K. Lee, CEO of YTL Communications Sdn Bhd.
