Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi 17T Series, which includes the Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro. With a Leica 5x telephoto camera and eye-care display, along with a large battery, the 17T Series is designed as an imaging flagship in a refined design. This lineup introduces dual sizes for the first time, promising an exceptional experience for modern users.

Combining Leica optics with Xiaomi’s advanced imaging technology, the Xiaomi 17T Series features a triple camera system led by a 50MP main camera with a large sensor — 1/1.31-inch in Xiaomi 17T Pro and 1/1.55-inch in Xiaomi 17T. Both models utilize Leica UltraPure optical design and a 1G + 6P hybrid Summilux lens for clear detail and dynamic range.
The series also introduces the Leica 5x telephoto camera, offering 50MP images with OIS, allowing for macro photography at 30cm and up to 120x AI Ultra Zoom. This flexibility enhances both photography and videography, with Xiaomi 17T Pro featuring 4K 60fps video recording and improved performance in challenging lighting conditions, ideal for capturing events with clarity.
The Xiaomi 17T Series features Leica Live Moment, which captures not only pivotal moments but also the motion and emotion surrounding them. This technology enhances everyday scenes with depth and context across all rear camera focal lengths, delivering dynamic images in Leica’s signature style.
Leica Live Portrait in Portrait mode offers natural bokeh while maintaining motion fluidity. Exclusive Leica watermarks and shareable collages are also available. Additionally, the Xiaomi 17T Pro introduces live cinematography options with Ultra-HD Live Moment in 4K and seamless zoom effects.
A flagship display experience balancing visual brilliance and intelligent eye care
The Xiaomi 17T Series prioritizes user comfort with its advanced eye-care technology, introducing Xiaomi Vision Care. The display adapts to ambient light and manages blue light, flicker, and motion blur for all-day use. It is the first to earn the TÜV Rheinland quadruple eye-care certification and the TÜV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care certification.
Featuring a 1.5K AMOLED display with 3500-nit peak brightness, it ensures clear images and high color accuracy in bright sunlight. The Xiaomi 17T Pro further enhances night viewing with a minimum brightness of 1 nit.
Viewing is crystal-clear and buttery-smooth, with a high refresh rate of up to 144Hz on the Pro variant and 120Hz on the base version. The ultra-slim bezels, measuring 1.29mm on all sides thanks to innovative LIPO packaging, enhance the immersive display. The Xiaomi 17T Pro comes in Deep Blue, Deep Violet, or Black, while the Xiaomi 17T offers Opal White, Violet, Blue, and Black. A refined brushed finish and smaller camera module contribute to its modern look, with micro-curved edges for a comfortable grip.
Power and performance without compromise
Enabling advanced camera and visual experiences on the Xiaomi 17T Series is underpinned by powerful performance. The Xiaomi 17T Pro features a 7000mAh battery, the largest in the series, providing 1.88 days of average use and supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless HyperCharge for quick recharging. Meanwhile, the more compact Xiaomi 17T has a 6500mAh battery with an 18% capacity increase over the previous generation, paired with 67W HyperCharge. Both models are compatible with third-party chargers.
Maximizing battery efficiency are two optimized chipsets for sustained performance. The Xiaomi 17T Pro features the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 on a 3nm process, while the Xiaomi 17T has the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra on a 4nm architecture. Both offer upgrades in CPU, GPU, and AI performance for smooth multitasking and gaming. The Xiaomi 3D IceLoop System enhances thermal management, ensuring stability and comfort under heavy workloads.
Both models provide upgrades, including an improved camera system with the Leica Live Moment and a versatile telephoto lens, along with increased battery capacity, elevating the Xiaomi T Series significantly.
The A Visual Journey with Xiaomi 17T Series exhibition will take place from 30th May to 1st June 2026 at Federal Hall 1 & 2, Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad, coinciding with KL Festival 2026. Attendees can visit “The Decisive Moment” photo gallery at Federal Hall 1 and the Rumah Malaysia Then & Now exhibit in Hall 2. Additionally, they can try out the Xiaomi 17T series smartphones at the experiential booth by the River of Life. A photowalk led by photographer Yuji Haikal will also be held, providing participants with creative insights and practical photography techniques.

In celebration of the Xiaomi 17T Series launch, Xiaomi started the ‘Travel with Xiaomi 17T Series’ campaign, giving customers a chance to win a trip for two to their chosen destination with a cash voucher. From 29 May to 30 June 2026, those who buy the Xiaomi 17T Series can scan a QR code to enter and potentially win travel vouchers totaling up to RM 20,000, from a prize pool of RM 120,000. Winners will be announced on Xiaomi Malaysia’s official social media page on 15 July 2026, offering fans a great opportunity to create memorable moments.
