World partners with Visa, Match Group, and Razer for “Proof of Human” Technology

World has recently announced significant updates and partnerships at the “At Last” event in San Francisco. These developments mark a key advance in World’s mission to establish a global standard for proving humanness online, as deepfake scams, identity theft, and AI-generated impersonations pose ongoing threats.

The event introduced partnerships with Visa, Match Group, and Razer, which will integrate World ID into financial services, dating apps, and gaming. The World Visa Card will link to World App, allowing users to spend WLD and other digital assets wherever Visa is accepted. Match Group, the parent company of Tinder, will start using World ID to help protect users from fake accounts, beginning with Tinder in Japan. This feature allows users to verify they are matching with real people, not bots, while maintaining their privacy and ensuring authentic dating experiences in the AI age.

Meanwhile, Razer is set to integrate World ID into its gaming hardware ecosystem, launching human-only gaming experiences, exclusive eSports tournaments, and in-store Orb verification. They will collaborate with Circle for USDC transactions and with Kalshi and Morpho for mini-app integrations, introducing the compact Orb Mini along with World Network in the U.S.

These developments emerge as online scams become more sophisticated in Malaysia, with 770 love scam cases reported in 2024, leading to RM45.9 million in losses. Authorities are also cautioning against deepfake manipulations claiming government endorsements, emphasizing the need for verification tools like World ID.

“We needed some sort of way for authenticating humans in the age of artificial general intelligence… to ensure humans remain central in a world filled with AI-driven content,” said Sam Altman, Chairman and co-founder of Tools For Humanity, during the “At Last” event in San Francisco.

World ID offers Malaysians a secure and private way to prove their humanity online without sharing personal information. Utilizing zero-knowledge proofs and encrypted by design, individuals can verify via passport or Orb, carrying that proof online while keeping their name, number, and email private. This is especially relevant for Malaysians in social apps and digital wallets amid rising AI impersonation risks. Over 26 million users globally have joined the World Network, with 12 million Orb-verified and 5.4 million using World Mini Apps daily. In Malaysia, over half a million have verified their humanness through the Orb, with more than 40 sites available for further verification. Malaysians can join by downloading the World App on iOS or Android and verifying via Orb or passport, gaining access to a growing ecosystem of services on the World Network.
