“WITCH WATCH” First Anime Adaptation premiering on 6 April; YOASOBI “Watch me!” chosen as Official Opening Theme Song

Tropics Entertainment is bringing the ‘WITCH WATCH’ series from Jump Comics and created by manga artist Kenta Shinohara, into the anime adaptation which is set to be premiering on 6 April 2025. The fantasy-romance series that follows Morihito Otogi, a high schooler with demon powers, who becomes the familiar of his childhood friend, Nico, a young witch undergoing training creating a whimsical and hilarious dynamic.

The series’ production is supervised by its original author and Japanese pop music duo YOASOBI performing the official opening theme song “Watch me!”.

The Malaysian premiere of ‘WITCH WATCH’ will take place at DADI CINEMA Pavilion Kuala Lumpur on 22 March, Saturday at 3:00 PM. Fans can watch the first three episodes and enjoy behind-the-scenes interviews with the voice actors and director. The watch party will feature local language subtitles in English, Mandarin, and Malay. Attendees will also receive limited-edition ‘WITCH WATCH’ collectibles like bookmarks and Nico acrylic keychains. Tickets are priced at RM 45 and will be available for purchase on 7 March, Friday at 5 PM via www.clouldjoi.com.

In addition to the Malaysian ‘WITCH WATCH’ party for the anime’s release, events will also occur in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Thailand. The recent Japanese teaser trailer has excited fans, with one saying, “Animated Nico is even cuter!”

The double-season anime ‘WITCH WATCH’ will start airing on 6 April 2025, offering a magical mix of comedy and chaos. Fans can watch it on Crunchyroll, Bstation, iQIYI, and Laftel.
