Wing Hin Motorsports kick start its 2026 TSS The Super Series and Thailand Super Series with a total of six podium finishes, including two race wins, happening at last weekend at the Chang International Circuit in Burriram.
Two podium finishes – a win in the Pro-Am Class and 2nd place overall – marked the start of its 2026 title defense in the GT4 Class, along with four more podium finishes in the Super Touring Class. The team entered Round 1 of both series with five cars and 10 drivers.
In GT4, the races at the 4.554km Chang International Circuit showed that this season would be highly competitive as Wing Hin Motorsports aims to keep the title it won last year.

The weekend kicked off well for Mitchell Cheah and Ryan Wong in the Pro-Am Class, driving the #39 Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2. They finished Race 1 (Saturday) in 2nd place overall and 1st in the Pro-Am Class, then they came in 5th overall in Race 2 (Sunday).
Wong started Race 1 carefully before passing the wheel to Cheah, who used the last 30 minutes of the 1-hour race to move up from 7th to finish in 2nd place overall.
“A good result to start the season. The team has been working hard last season and in preparation for this year and we’re looking forward to the next race,” said Cheah.
Starting from first place in Race 2, Cheah’s race was cut short when the safety car came out after just three minutes, interrupting his flow and the slight 0.8-second lead he had built.
When the race restarted, things got intense as five cars battled for the lead, pushing him to 4th place. He stayed in that position until the required driver change, where Wong took over and came back into the race in 5th place, holding that spot until the end.
In the Thailand Super Series Super Touring Class, Wing Hin Motorsports started the season very strong, achieving four podium finishes in two races.

In Race 1 on Saturday, Amer Harris and Nabil Azlan in the #36 Toyota Vios finished in 2nd place. The #38 Toyota Yaris of Dannies Ng and Jwan Hii secured a tough 3rd place. Another Toyota Vios, #9, driven by Nick Teo and Ian Wong, came in 4th.
“We’re super happy with the results! We have to thank the team for preparing a super competitive car. This is our first rookie season in the series and the competition has been tough but the team has done an incredible job of bringing us up to pace,” said Hii.
In Race 2 on Sunday, Amer, who started in first place, managed to keep his lead for the first half of the 1-hour race, with competitors close behind. After 30 minutes, he made a pit stop and handed the car to Nabil, who came back onto the track still in the lead.
With only 10 minutes left, Nabil fell to 2nd place, trailing by 1.8 seconds. However, he pushed hard and managed to overtake P. Pasarit from Thailand in a Honda CRZ during the second-to-last lap. In an attempt to regain the lead, Pasarit’s front right wheel lightly hit Nabil’s left rear wheel, causing a puncture for Pasarit. This unfortunate event allowed Ng and Hii in the #38 Toyota Yaris from Wing Hin Motorsports to take 2nd place, with the Thai drivers Ayrton A. and A. Norrarat achieving a 1-2-3 finish for Toyota. Later, an investigation into the incident elevated Hii to 1st place, and Nabil received a five-second penalty, dropping him to 3rd.
The team’s #39 Yaris, driven by Varunchit Wattanathanakun (Monai) and lady driver Mekkaradkeeta Kalantananda (Ni-Ne) from Thailand, finished in 8th place, while Teo and Wong ended the weekend in a respectable 9th place.
“It’s a good 1-2 and a very good result for us. This is my first time racing in the Super Touring Class. Last year the team also had a shot at the overall championship but things didn’t really go as planned. It’s still too early to predict with only one round completed but it has certainly been a very good start,” said Amer.
“It was a very exciting race today! The team has been making extremely strong progress with making the car competitive and we believe we have a good shot in the coming rounds.”
Round 2 of the TSS The Super Series and the Thailand Super Series will take place at the Bangsaen Grand Prix street racing festival in Chonburi from July 1-5.
