vivo encourages Malaysians to support inclusion football with Pan-Disability Football Club collaboration

In partnership with the Pan-Disability Football Club, vivo has released a heartwarming “Mimpi Tiada Batas” video in Malaysia. The video showcased the relentless courage and strength of the programme’s differently-abled football players during these challenging times.

Shot on vivo X60 series, the 3-minute short video has been released on vivo’s official Facebook page and demonstrates the vivo Dream Field campaign, an initiative spearheaded by vivo, which aims to benefit the Pan-Disability Football Club through the crowdfunding initiative. From now until 11 July 2021, with each purchase of a vivo smartphone via vivo’s official e-store, RM35 will be donated to the Pan-Disability Football Club.

“vivo is in support of enabling communities to weather through these difficult times and we hope to empower the differently-abled footballers through the Pan-Disability Football Club with resources that will help them to demonstrate the fiery sportsmanship spirit within them. Through the vivo Dream Field campaign, it is our hope that the footballers can continue to enjoy the sport that gives them much hope and joy,” said Mike Xu, Chief Executive Officer of vivo Malaysia.

The biggest challenge that the football club has experienced during these times is the lack of a permanent training ground as coaching sessions were previously conducted at various rented locations across Malaysia. Therefore, the funds collected through the vivo Dream Field campaign will enable the building of a dedicated training centre, known as the Dream Centre, for the players from the Pan-Disability Football Club and allow them to enjoy a permanent base. The funds will also allow for the purchase of additional equipment such as much-needed training aids.

Dreams have no limits. “My biggest dream is to be able to participate in the World Cup and Paralympics football games,” said Azril, blind footballer of Pan-Disability Football Club.

Through the Dream Centre, the football players will be able to enjoy the sport which serves as a catalyst to promote social inclusion and fun while instilling a sense of self-worth, physical and psychological wellbeing, behavior management and modification, and even provide them with potential job placements in the future.

The vivo Care Programme is part of the vivo Dream Field local campaign, one of vivo Malaysia’s activations around UEFA EURO 2020 tournament which aims to empower and assist vulnerable communities across Malaysia while bringing to life vivo’s passion for making every moment more magical for its users.
