
Counterpoint Research Market Pulse has reported their latest study indicated that vivo has topped the smartphone brand in China market in 2021. According to the study, vivo demonstrated a stellar performance in 2021, with its market share expanding to 22% in China’s smartphone market, as compared to 17% in 2020, representing a year-on-year growth rate of 21%.
Driven by strong offline penetration and expansive product portfolio strategy, vivo ranked second with a market share of 19% in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Zooming out from the China market, according to International Data Corporation (IDC), vivo’s global market share has expanded to 9.5%, as it registered a total shipment volume of 128.3 million units in 2021, as compared to 111.7 million units in the previous year representing a year-on-year increase of 14.8%.
