Viu Malaysia is ready to usher 2024 with an impressive lineup of local premium dramas, featuring six captivating Viu Original titles and an exclusive documentary titled This is Johan. This was unveiled for the first time at Viu Upfront 2024 in November, the Viu Original lineup includes Terlanjur Cinta, Nafsu, Gadis Masa, The Secret, a Korean drama adaptation, Strong Girl and the much anticipated From Saga With Love Season 2, continuing the storyline from the 2023 Viu Original of the same title.
Viu Malaysiawill begin 2024 with Terlanjur Cinta, the first exclusive Ramadan offering on the OTT platform. Created by renowned producer Eirma Fatima, the series will be released in March next year.Â
Another noteworthy content that will be featured in next year’s schedule is From Saga With Love Season 2, a sequel to 2023’s immensely successful romcom. On the back of the first season’s success, Viu Malaysia has greenlit a second season of the show, with the four leads of Siti Khadijah Halim, Ikmal Amry, Sophia Albarakbah and Fimie Don reprising their roles.
Viu-ers can also anticipate another K-drama adaptation in the pipeline – Strong Girl, a remake of the series Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, starring two of Malaysia’s top male actors, Nadhir Nasar and Meerqeen.
In addition to its original titles, Viu Malaysia is also set to unveil This is Johan, an exclusive documentary showcasing Joe Flizzow, a pioneer in Malaysian Hip Hop who has made a lasting impact both nationally and internationally. This documentary will delve into the evolution of the local hip hop industry. This collaboration with Hotlink is testament to Viu’s commitment as an advocate and supporter of Malaysian creative talents.
