Twitter has announced for the upcoming Year of the Tiger, they will be rolling out an exclusive emoji that will appear alongside on selected hashtags about the Lunar New Year.
From now onwards, Tweets with the hashtags #HappyNewYear, #HuatAh, #新年快乐, #新年快樂, or #旧正月 will feature a tiger in celebration of this Chinese zodiac year.
The emoji will also appear for Tweets in other Asian languages:
- Korean – #새해복많이받으세요
- Tagalog – #MaligayangBagongTaon
- Thai – #สวัสดีวันตรุษจีน
- Vietnamese – #ChúcMừngNămMới
- Bahasa Malaysia – #SelamatTahunBaharu
- Bahasa Indonesia – #SelamatImlek
