UMW Toyota Motor records strong performance for August 2025

UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) had strong sales in August 2025, with 9,083 units sold that month. Throughout this year, they have sold a total of 62,246 units, showing that many Malaysian drivers want Toyota vehicles. This success shows how effective Toyota’s Multipathway approach is, providing Malaysians with the right mix of electric options while still offering reliable models for everyday use.

Toyota aims to meet the needs of all Malaysians. Whether it’s trustworthy cars for daily driving or hybrids for easier access to electric driving, UMWT is dedicated to providing vehicles that offer quality, value, and peace of mind in the long run. Following Toyota’s global Mobility for All vision, the company focuses on giving customers the right technology when they need it.

“For decades, Malaysians have placed their trust in Toyota, and that trust continues to inspire us,” said Datuk Ravindran K., President of UMW Toyota Motor. “Our focus is not only on delivering vehicles of quality, but on ensuring mobility remains meaningful and accessible for all, across every stage of life, from daily journeys to family milestones. This lasting bond reflects our commitment to Mobility for All and is how we continue to Move Your World, and it is this same spirit of unity and progress that we proudly celebrate together with the nation this Merdeka.”

Honouring a Malaysian Legacy

For more than sixty years, Toyota has been a part of daily life in Malaysia. Starting with the first locally assembled Corolla in 1968, Toyota has introduced popular models like the Hilux, Vios, and Camry, growing alongside Malaysians through times of change and success.

Toyota is more than just cars; it’s been a reliable friend on balik kampung trips during festive seasons, a dependable worker for businesses and farmers, and the family car that carries generations through important moments. Millions of Malaysians have chosen Toyota for its quality and reliability, making it a familiar sight in both cities and rural areas.

Today, Toyota is proud to be the top non-national car brand in Malaysia, showing both strong loyalty and its ability to adapt to the country’s needs. In the last decade (2015 to August 2025), Toyota has sold 859,865 vehicles, highlighting its important role in Malaysia’s transportation scene.

As the nation celebrates Merdeka, Toyota’s story is closely linked to Malaysia’s own story. It represents trust, strength, and shared growth, continuing to Move Your World in meaningful ways.
