
U Mobile has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ZTE Corporation to co-develop AI-enhanced 5G-Advanced (5G-A) network solutions tailored to East Malaysia’s industries. The signing took place at the GSMA Digital Nation Summit in Kuala Lumpur, witnessed by notable officials.
Under the MoU, U Mobile will utilize ZTE’s AI-enabled technologies to ensure stable coverage and high service quality for various economic sectors. Additionally, they will collaborate on an Intelligent 5G-enabled Industrial Campus framework to facilitate industrial digitalization, testing the solutions in pilot locations to promote smarter operations and efficiency. The goal is to create replicable models for broader adoption across industries in East Malaysia.

The MoU was signed by Woon Ooi Yuen, CTO of U Mobile, and Tey Khang Lian, Deputy Country Manager of ZTE Malaysia. It was also witnessed by Kenneth Chang, Deputy CEO of U Mobile, and Steven Ge, Managing Director of ZTE Malaysia.
