TUMI has recently hosted a special event for the launch of its Spring/Summer 2025 Collection and the brand’s 50th anniversary at Torito, Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur. The setting, with its elegant atmosphere and South American culinary flair, celebrated Peru — the home of TUMI and a key part of the Spring/Summer 2025 Collection — creating an evening focused on exploration, craftsmanship, and innovation.
The event featured guests like Danny Ahboy, Alicia Amin, Hakken Ryou, Koe Yeet, Aedy Ashraf, and Venice Min, along with Randy Wong, General Manager of TUMI Southeast Asia, who welcomed everyone to explore the new collection and celebrate TUMI’s 50th anniversary. Guests were invited to discover TUMI’s latest innovations, experiencing how the collection connects the brand to its roots and Peru’s heritage.
The Spring/Summer 2025 Collection highlights TUMI’s commitment to performance and craftsmanship, featuring vibrant colors, new materials, and practical designs. It pays tribute to Peru’s landscapes and artisanal traditions with colors like Lagoon, Lavender, Denim Blue, Red/Lime Chameleon, and Iridescent Dusk, reflecting the rich tones of Andean textiles.

Guests explored themed areas, each showcasing a different part of the collection. The Travel Zone featured the 19 Degree Lite collection, made for easy movement for today’s travelers. It includes a strong Tegris shell, a lightweight magnesium handle, and sleek zipper pulls, making it TUMI’s lightest hardside luggage. New colors like Cobalt Blue and Amber highlight the collection’s fresh look and the spirit of global travel.
The Men’s Collection Zone showcased Alpha Bravo’s tough yet flexible designs, including the Navigation Backpack, Liaison Tote, Nomadic Backpack, and Platoon Sling in Red/Lime Chameleon and Black Onyx, inspired by Peru’s vibrant cityscapes. The Harrison Collection featured new colors like Navy Woven and Black Bombe leather, while the Women’s Collection Zone offered the latest Voyageur styles, such as the Evora Mini Hobo, Celina Backpack, and Lima Medium Tote in Natural/Sand.

To celebrate TUMI’s connection to Peru, the event included a Peruvian Coffee Tasting Bar, showcasing the country’s famous coffee culture. Coffee is a key part of Peruvian heritage and was chosen to show TUMI’s focus on quality and the experiences that make travel special. Guests enjoyed a special menu created by Chef Ivan Casusol, reflecting TUMI’s mix of tradition and modern style.
In addition to the coffee bar, guests participated in activities that showcased TUMI’s craftsmanship and personalization. They could customize 19 Degree Card Cases at a name engraving station. One lucky guest also won the TUMI 19 Degree Lite Carry-On, a lightweight and stylish travel piece. As the evening went on, DJ Ashley Lau played an exciting mix that set a lively mood for conversations and celebrations of TUMI’s growth in travel, fashion, and lifestyle.
Reflecting on the collection, Randy Wong, General Manager of TUMI Southeast Asia, shared, “The Spring/Summer 2025 Collection is about movement—through cultures, landscapes, and experiences. To celebrate TUMI’s 50th anniversary, we have honored our brand’s origins by infusing Peru’s heritage into our designs while maintaining TUMI’s signature innovation and craftsmanship. From the evolution of our 19 Degree Lite to the refreshed silhouettes of Alpha Bravo and Voyageur, we continue to redefine travel essentials, ensuring every journey is effortless and inspired.”
