TRANSFORMERS invades PUBG MOBILE in Version 3.9 Update

PUBG MOBILE has unveiled a host of brand-new features in its Version 3.9 Update. Available from now until 2 September 2025, players can explore the TRANSFORMERS-themed mode, face off in the revamped Metro Royale Zombie Uprising, take on the all-new Ranked Arena competitive event, and experience a variety of thrilling gameplay updates and enhancements.

TRANSFORMERS Collaboration

Version 3.9 brings the iconic TRANSFORMERS franchise to the battlegrounds with a new themed mode, allowing players to experience Autobots and Decepticons in an exciting way. From July 8th, summon Optimus Prime or Megatron using the Cybertron Beacon or call in Cybertron Crates filled with supplies and Energon. Each robot can switch between vehicle and robot modes with unique abilities, while players collect Energon to upgrade and unlock powerful skills like Optimus Prime’s Charge Slam or Megatron’s Triple Fusion Blast. A special arena appears in Erangel for an epic duel between the two rivals; if Optimus Prime is knocked down, players can revive him to continue the fight. At the end of each match, TRANSFORMERS robots perform exit animations and drop unique rewards. Players choose a side—Team Optimus Prime or Team Megatron—and complete missions for exclusive rewards, visit the Cosmic Meteorite for special performances, and try the new upgradable Cosmic Hoverboard. Stay tuned for more TRANSFORMERS-themed vehicles and items landing 18 July in PUBG MOBILE.

Going Cyberpunk

The Version 3.9 Update introduces Neon Outpost, a vibrant cyberpunk-themed area on Erangel, Livik, and Sanhok maps. It features three key zones: an intense boxing ring that unlocks after a countdown, a black market with futuristic shops including a burger joint serving the interstellar burger, and an energy hub for robot rides. At the center is the Astro Den, a melee arena accessed via portals, where players use onsite weapons in close-combat battles and respawn instantly above the outpost. The last team standing wins rewards, while solo players can battle bots in the Outskirts for extra prizes.

Metro Royale Updates

Metro Royale receives a major upgrade in Version 3.9 with enhancements to Zombie Uprising, including a tiered monster system, deeper player progression, and hatchable creatures. Players can collect energy orbs to level up, battle bosses for genetic codes, and hatch powerful monsters. New features include elite supply crates, a hackable Portable Experiment Server, a Battleground Merchant, and incubation air drops. Players can also earn a rare gold melee weapon by defeating zombies or marked bosses, which carries unique attributes and persists across seasons, even if players don’t evacuate successfully.

Version 3.9 elevates the competition with a vibrant new way to socialise. The all-new 3D Hub presents a lively seaside space filled with mini-games, emotes like hand-holding and piggyback rides, and interactive zones, while maintaining core lobby features for a seamless social upgrade.
