ABOUT THE BUTTERY BROS
The Buttery Bros consist of filmmakers Heber Cannon and Marston Sawyers. Both Heber and Marston worked at CrossFit Headquarters for 9 years as part of their media team.
In October 2018, CrossFit cleared-out their entire media team, including Heber and Marston. Following their unceremonious dismissal, they were inspired to continue creating insightful and entertaining documentaries, but this time with complete freedom from the CrossFit brand and sponsors. Heber and Marston took a brave leap of faith, pooling together their personal finances to independently fund the creation of THE FITTEST.
Heber Cannon of The Buttery Bros, says: “This film has been two years in the making. Lots of sleepless nights, 24 hour workdays, and time away from my family. It’s been an incredible journey that would not have been possible without the help of our closest friends, the community, and the athletes who let us into their lives to tell an amazing story. In this time of chaos, I can only hope those that see the film are as inspired as I was making it.”
