the Curve ‘Beraya di Kota Raya’ brings a nostalgic 90s Raya Experience with Iconic Memories, Festive Shopping and Meaningful Giving

For this year’s Raya celebration, the Curve is hosting ‘Beraya di Kota Raya’, running from 28 February to 6 April 2025. The campaign will feature the Centre Court transforming into a vibrant retro bus terminal, celebrating the nostalgic charm of Raya in the city. The setup features an iconic pink minibus, a nostalgic Rumah Biru-inspired kampung house, old-school bus stops, ticket counters, and a 90s Raya setup that evoke Malaysia’s transportation history and past celebrations.

En. Jazmi Kamarudin, Chief Operations Officer of Boustead Properties Berhad, shared, “This Raya, we are thrilled to celebrate the beauty of heritage while also supporting local businesses and uplifting the community. Through the ‘Beraya di Kota Raya’ campaign, we want to bring back the nostalgia of celebrating Raya in the city, where cherished traditions, vibrant bazaars, and communal festivities create a truly special experience for all generations.”

In line with its support for local entrepreneurs, the Curve features over 100 Raya booths, including more than 10 celebrity booths, showcasing a variety of Raya outfits, accessories, festive cookies, and Juadah Berbuka Puasa.

Visitors can engage in the Raya spirit with cultural performances like Dikir Barat, Zapin, and Raya Musical Dance, along with Kids’ Raya Workshops for activities such as Ketupat Weaving and Raya Card Making on weekends.

Shoppers will also benefit from the Curve’s Gift with Purchase (GWP) programme. With a minimum spend of RM200, they will receive limited-edition Raya packets and stickers. Those spending RM450 and above will receive a special Raya tote bag by doodle artist Ann Jaafar, along with Raya packets and stickers.

The Curve’s ‘Cari dan Menang contest gives shoppers a chance to win vouchers and exclusive merchandise.

In support of the community, the Curve launched its Raya campaign with a Berbuka Puasa gathering for children from Rumah Anak Yatim Damai Kuang, hosting a special iftar experience as part of the Curve Lurve CSR initiative. Contributions included essential items, Raya outfits, duit raya, hampers, and festive cookies for the children.

Additionally, the Curve collaborated with Suria FM for a Bubur Lambuk distribution, prepared by the Masjid Kampung Baru team, with participants including En. Khairul Azizi Bin Ismail and Suria FM radio personalities.

To encourage community participation, a Donation Booth ‘Kongsi Rezeki’ is available at the Centre Court from 28 February to 6 April, for contributions to Rumah Anak Yatim Damai Kuang. Donations will be delivered in two batches, on 17 March and 7 April. Every Friday before iftar, the Curve’s management will distribute 50 special Ramadan gift packs as a token of appreciation.

The Curve is also sponsoring tickets for the #theCurveBelanjaBalikKampung initiative with Suria FM, inviting participants to submit creative Pantun Raya for a chance to win VIP bus tickets home for Raya.

New tenants include F&B favorites like Serai, Kenangan Coffee, Toast Maker, and fashion brands such as Original Classic and Hyrem. Families can also enjoy Moonbug Cocomelon, an edutainment experience for young children.

During the last week of Ramadan, the Curve will extend its hours until 12 AM for increased shopping and dining opportunities.
