The Alley has just launched its latest Croffle Series in Malaysia which has been available since 20 September 2022. The Croffle Series consist of Classic (RM 8.90), Crunchy Salted Caramel (RM 11.90), Oreo Chocolate (RM 11.90), Garlic Cheese (RM 12.90) and Brown Sugar Deerioca (RM 12.90).
Do take note that the Croffle Series in Malaysia is only available at The Alley SS2, The Alley Aman Suria, The Alley Melaka, The Alley Sitiawan and The Alley Mount Austin.
We were given a chance to test the new Croffle series and here is what we think of the taste.
For the Classic, basically there it is just straight up plain croffle which some adequate taste. This will be the perfect choice for you to get if you’re planning to cut down sugar intake or perhaps planning to takeaway to apply some peanut butter chocolate on it. Classic Croffle gets the 3.5 out of 5 rating.
Next, the Crunchy Salted Caramel really deliver the sweetness with the salted caramel sauce and whipped cream. The rushed cereal flakes are nice bits but need to be enjoy quickly or they might go soft a bit. Just a 3 out of 5 rating for me but if you love the sweetness of caramel, then you will love it.
Following next is the Oreo Chocolate Croffle, which has topped with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and crushed Oreo cookies toppings. Since I’m a chocolate and Oreo lover, I may give a little bias on the scoring. It taste nice and definitely suits young kids and adults. I give a solid 4 out 5 rating here for the Oreo Chocolate Croffle.
Meanwhile, the Garlic Cheese Croffle is really fantastic as comes with Tru-Blue Garlic Butter and Kewpie Cheese sauce and topped with Mozzarella Cheese. The taste is excellent here but I felt the saltiness from the cheese is slightly a bit too much for me. Nonetheless, a solid 3.5 out of 5 rating for it.
Last but not least, the Brown Sugar Deerioca Croffle comes with The Alley’s signature Brown Sugar Deerioca with whipped cream on the classic croffle. Surprisingly, it taste really tasty as it brings the brown sugar sweetness with Deerioca. While it maybe an eye opener but once you taste it, you will understand why I say it is really tasty. Solid 3.5 out of 5 rating here.
Overall, the latest Croffle Series is highly recommended to be served when it’s hot so you can enjoy the intended taste. The Croffle pastry is also nice thanks to the crispiness and adequate taste. The latest Croffle Series receives a 3.5 out 5 rating here.
