Did you know Starbucks Malaysia is serving alternative drinks than coffee?

When we speak about the name “Starbucks”, it will always be synonymous with coffee beverages. However, over the years, Starbucks has actually developed many alternative drinks like non-caffeinated, decaffeinated coffee and non-coffee beverages to suit various customers.

While the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) is still in effect and Malaysian need to stay at home, you actually could order the Starbucks Malaysia’s alternate drinks through GrabFood and Foodpanda app. The app will definitely deliver your favourite drinks right to your doorstep.

For those who need a quick guide to Starbucks Malaysia’s alternate drink, let’s go through them now:

Decaffeinated Coffee (Decaf) – All the flavor, minus the caffeine

Starbucks Malaysia offers a decaf option on all their coffees, espresso-based beverages and Frappuccino as well. This drinks is only for those who wants bold flavors and aroma of their cup of java but without the caffeine.

The decaffeination process starts with steaming of the coffee beans for about 30 minutes, which opens up their pores. These beans are then repeatedly rinsed with solvents for about ten hours to remove the caffeine from the coffee beans until it meets the required standards. However, it is important to note that the decaffeination process will still leave some caffeine behind, and that it is not 100% removed. According to American standards, a cup of decaf coffee is 97% caffeine free.

Enjoy the decaf alternative to the coffees, espresso-based beverages and Frappuccino at Starbucks by opting for decaf in the app!
