Sony has launched the 1000X THE COLLEXION, a premium addition to its acclaimed 1000X series. Built with high-quality materials, it emphasizes refined design and comfort, enhancing the listening experience.
This release celebrates the 10th anniversary of the 1000X series, which began with the MDR-1000X in 2016. The series has transformed personal listening through superior sound, intelligent noise cancelling, and ergonomic design, keeping the artist’s intent at the forefront.
In addition, Sony is also announcing a new Sandstone colourway to its popular WH-1000XM6 noise cancelling headphones.
1000X THE COLLEXION by Sony showcases top-tier headphone design, utilizing premium materials and expert craftsmanship for superior comfort. The headband consists of metal with a matte sandblasted finish and polished gloss, while soft faux leather enhances tactile appeal. Available in Platinum or Black, these headphones combine simplicity with a metallic touch. They are ergonomically designed for prolonged comfort, featuring large earcups for optimal pressure distribution and a cushioned headband that ensures a relaxed fit.

At its core, the 1000X THE COLLEXION has a special driver unit with a soft edge and a strong dome made from carbon composite material. This design gives clearer separation between instruments and voices, highlights delicate high notes, and creates a richer and wider sound.

1000X THE COLLEXION is the first headphone to use DSEE Ultimate, which employs Edge-AI technology to enhance compressed digital music files in real time. This restores lost details and dynamic range for a more enjoyable listening experience.
Additionally, 1000X THE COLLEXION features 360 Reality Audio Upmix (360 Upmix) with three modes. These new modes transform stereo music, movies, and games into rich spatial audio experiences, offering realistic sound environments that make you feel like you are really there. The 1000X THE COLLEXION headphones offer advanced 1000X series noise cancelling technology, similar to the WH-1000XM6. Sony is expanding the WH-1000XM6 wireless noise-cancelling headphones with a new Sandstone colour option, offering a natural finish while maintaining the series’ industry-leading audio performance. This addition is the fifth colour in the range, providing users with more choices to match their style.

1000X THE COLLEXION in Platinum and Black is now available with the SRP of RM2799.
The WH-1000XM6 in Sandstone will be available only in Sony Store BBCC, Sony Store IOI City Mall, Sony Store The Curve and Sony Store Online (https://www.sony.com.my/) from early-June 2026 with the SRP of RM2099.
