Sony Xperia 10 VI now offers two-day use and long-lasting durability; coming to Malaysia from August 2024

Sony has launched the new mid-range Xperia 10 VI smartphone, featuring a large-capacity battery capable of two-day use and a lightweight body. The device is designed for comfort and easy operation with one hand, and features a water-resistant body and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus display for long-lasting durability.

The Xperia 10 VI’s battery life is extended by approximately 10% due to advances in chipset performance and battery power optimization. The Xperia 10 VI’s battery is 5,000mAh size and Sony said it can stays healthy for three years thanks to Sony’s charging technologies, which prevent overcharging and enhance charging speed.

The Xperia 10 VI’s body size is 155mm long and 68mm wide, with a matte, milky-white semi-transparent resin material on the back panel. The display uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for increased durability and has IP68 rating for dust- and water-proofing. Powering the Xperia 10 IV is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 Mobile Platform, which reduces power consumption, improving continuous video playback time by about 10% compared to previous models. The device also paired with an 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage, expandable via microSDXC up to 1.5TB size.

The dual rear camera lenses offer versatility with three focal lengths (16mm, 26mm, 52mm) for shooting, equivalent to 2x optical zoom. The main camera is using a 48MP Exmor RS for mobile sensor while the ultrawide camera is an 8MP sensor. The front camera is 8MP selfie camera. The “Colour-effect Look” function allows users to take pictures using preset look options without editing and can be uploaded directly to social media. Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) is also effective for videos, with Sony’s Optical SteadyShot technology ensuring clear and steady results.

The Xperia 10 VI simplifies the shooting experience by incorporating AI-driven scene detection technology, which automatically selects optimal settings for capturing the perfect shot.

The Xperia 10 VI uses a front stereo speakers that delivers a wider dynamic range and improved treble and bass. For the display, a 6.1-inch Full HD+ OLED display with ‘Triluminous Display for mobile’ technology, creating an immersive pocket-sized theatre. The device supports Bluetooth connectivity, including LDAC, and includes a 3.5mm headphone jack for high-resolution sound with wired and wireless headphones. The Xperia 10 VI also features DSEE Ultimate, using Sony’s proprietary AI technology, which reproduces sound sources with high resolution.

The Xperia 10 VI is a product made from Sony’s Original Blended Material, which includes bamboo, sugar cane fibers, and recycled paper. This environmentally friendly packaging is made from paper, replacing plastic tape used to seal shipping cartons. Around 50% of the raw materials used for parts inside and outside the main body are environmentally friendly resins, including SORPLAS, a flame-retardant recycled plastic developed by Sony.

The device offers customizable accessibility settings and apps, allowing users to enable voice control and increase text size.

The Xperia 10 VI also comes with two color matching optional covers (Style Cover with Stand for Xperia 10 VI(XQZ-CBES)) with a built-in stand, perfect for live streaming and video chats. The slim cover is designed for ease of holding and functionality, and can be worn around the neck by combining it with a neck strap. The Xperia 10 VI will be available in both Black and Blue versions in Malaysia from August 2024.
